We have an update on the travails of Rosie O’Donnell and Michelle Rounds – and, in particular, the issue of custody of their daughter.  In divorce papers, Michelle claims that Rosie “drinks a bottle of wine nearly every night, regularly smokes weed and eats edibles.”  Oh my God – she’s eating edibles?  Call the cops!   Michelle has upped the stakes by speaking to the media in hopes of getting public opinion on her side.  She claims she wants custody of Dakota because Rosie has nannies and a staff that watch the child.  “I don’t want my child to have a 24/7 nanny.”  Um, Michelle – I’m sure you noticed during your short marriage that Rosie has a staff.  Rounds went on to say,  “Divorce is really hard, but imagine going through a divorce with a celebrity, someone who is very very powerful.  Someone who has all the media and publicists, and all that behind them.  I’m just, I’m just a normal person.  David vs. Goliath.”  I’m not sure, but I think she just called Rosie fat.  Let me point something else out.  Rosie did not become a celebrity in the midst of this relationship.  She had been a powerful celebrity for decades before Rounds came into the picture.  And I suspect in the course of their relationship, Michelle reaped the benefit of that celebrity power.  To now use it as an excuse seems not only disingenuous but, frankly, wrong.
