\n<\/em>\u2013 Gina Schock <\/strong>recounts the early days of her relationship with Jane Wiedlin <\/strong>in the new documentary, The Go-Go\u2019s<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Get ready for a BIG announcement about Billy Masters <\/strong>\u2013 the man and the column.  Back in August 1995, I wrote my very first installment of this column.  Now, I\u2019m no math whiz, but I believe that\u2019s almost a quarter of a century ago.  I know what you\u2019re thinking\u2026and it\u2019s true \u2013 I really do look incredible!<\/p>\n

In that very first column was a story about The Go-Go\u2019s <\/em><\/strong>doing one of their reunion tours:  \u201cWhat most people didn’t know, however, was that their most loyal fan was none other than Roseanne<\/em>‘s little girl, Sara Gilbert<\/strong>, who traveled with them city to city and did not miss one performance.  Her connection to the group?  All we will say is that she was spotted accompanying the mother of Gina Schock<\/strong>, The Go-Go’s <\/em>fab drummer\u201d.  Here we are, 25 years later, and Gina\u2019s finally doling out details of her heretofore shrouded life \u2013 courtesy of the new documentary, The Go-Go\u2019s<\/em><\/strong>, currently playing on Showtime<\/em>.  That Gina and Jane once dated (see the opening quote) is a detail glossed over.  However, it is the first time Schock has ever talked about dating a woman.  The doc is a perfect overview to solidify the band\u2019s place in history.  However, it\u2019s not nearly as comprehensive as director Alison Ellwood<\/strong>\u2019s previous two-part documentary about the Eagles<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
