As it turns out, that\u2019s exactly how many men I had \u2013 because, you know, there\u2019s a pandemic going on.&nbsp; I did get to see some incredible shows \u2013 and it\u2019s simply coincidental that all of these artists have appeared on <strong><em>Billy Masters LIVE<\/em><\/strong> (I\u2019m not risking life and limb to see <strong>Vicki Lawrence Schultz<\/strong>).&nbsp; Every Wednesday night at <em>The Crown and Anchor<\/em>, <strong>Edmund Bagnell <\/strong>(of <strong><em>Well-Strung<\/em><\/strong>) is doing his solo show <strong><em>He Plays the Violin<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 and play it he does!&nbsp; And his voice is as sweet as ever.<\/p>\n<p>Then I got a taste of <strong>Varla Jean Merman <\/strong>and <strong>Judy Gold <\/strong>in <strong><em>The Varla and Judy Show<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; My God, I laughed more than I have since\u2026well, since March 13<sup>th<\/sup>!&nbsp; The two play off each other brilliantly, singing, dancing (well, kinda dancing), and telling stories that would make a nun blush \u2013 were a nun foolish enough to be in Ptown\u2026 during a pandemic\u2026to see a lesbian\u2026and a drag queen.&nbsp; The only downside to that show is you want more.<\/p>\n<p>And more you get if you go to Varla\u2019s solo show, <strong><em>Super Spreader<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; Take it from someone who knows \u2013 it\u2019s hard to make fun of a pandemic\u2026especially while it\u2019s going on.&nbsp; But Varla manages to walk that tightrope with one of the most creative shows ever that\u2019ll make you laugh \u2013 and, perhaps, think.&nbsp; Make no mistake: these performers are all at the peak of their profession, and Ptown is lucky to have them\u2026thanks to <em>The Crown<\/em>.&nbsp; Since every show so far has sold out, grab your tickets quickly at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.OnlyAtTheCrown.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><u>OnlyAtTheCrown.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile at the <em>Pilgrim House<\/em>, <strong>Branden and James <\/strong>spent a week doing their <strong>Lady Gaga <\/strong>tribute show.&nbsp; I must confess \u2013 I am not the biggest Gaga devotee.&nbsp; No offense, but I prefer my meat hanging from my men.&nbsp; That said, Gaga\u2019s got terrific songs (even the derivative ones), and this duo performs them wonderfully.&nbsp;
