{"id":1477,"date":"2015-11-16T04:24:18","date_gmt":"2015-11-16T12:24:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/?p=1477"},"modified":"2015-11-16T04:24:18","modified_gmt":"2015-11-16T12:24:18","slug":"sir-john-gielguds-gay-male-porn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/blog\/2015\/11\/16\/sir-john-gielguds-gay-male-porn\/","title":{"rendered":"Sir John Gielgud&#8217;s gay male porn?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These days, the line between mainstream and porn is blurred regularly.\u00a0 But even I was shocked to read about a scandal regarding a gay adult flick and <strong>Sir John Gielgud<\/strong>!\u00a0 Way back in 1976, the venerable actor wrote a script for <strong>Peter de Rome<\/strong>, a notable figure in the history of gay porn.\u00a0 How Gielgud knew de Rome is unknown.\u00a0 But, hey, if I can have <strong>Sophia Loren <\/strong>on speed dial, anything&#8217;s possible.\u00a0 The heretofore unknown script, <strong><em>Trouser Bar<\/em><\/strong>, was unearthed by <strong>David McGillivray<\/strong>, who came across it while researching a documentary about de Rome.\u00a0 He says, &#8220;John Gielgud was obsessed with trousers, loved corduroy and leather.\u00a0 And so he wrote a film set in a menswear shop.&#8221;\u00a0 McGillivray has filmed the script but, since he&#8217;s not a director, he hired one &#8211; the notable gay porn <em>auter<\/em> Kristen Bjorn. \u00a0The flick begins with actors <strong>Nigel Havers<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Julian Clary<\/strong>, and <strong>Barry Cryer\u00a0<\/strong>on a sidewalk watching a gay orgy inside a men&#8217;s shop. \u00a0McGillivray\u00a0calls the 22-minute silent film an &#8220;erotic fantasy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Predictably, the <em>Sir John Gielgud Charitable Trust <\/em>is not thrilled about this and has denied permission for the film to be exhibited.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s the problem &#8211;
