{"id":1530,"date":"2015-12-07T01:45:28","date_gmt":"2015-12-07T09:45:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/?p=1530"},"modified":"2015-12-07T01:45:28","modified_gmt":"2015-12-07T09:45:28","slug":"what-happened-to-toto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/blog\/2015\/12\/07\/what-happened-to-toto\/","title":{"rendered":"What happened to Toto?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You gotta take the good with the bad.\u00a0 And this week, it was all bad for those of you who were waiting to find fault with <strong><em>The Wiz: Live<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 The <em>Peacock Network <\/em>finally got it right.\u00a0 There was really nothing to bitch about.\u00a0 I guess you&#8217;ll have to wait until <em>FOX<\/em>&#8216;s version of <strong><em>Grease<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 I can already read those reviews: &#8220;The cast members are older than most high school teachers&#8221;, or &#8220;<strong>Derek Hough <\/strong>would have made a more feminine Sandy&#8221;.\u00a0 Back to <em>The Wiz: Live<\/em> &#8211; this was the slickest of <em>NBC<\/em>&#8216;s annual endeavors.\u00a0 And speaking of slick, how did I never realize that the Tin Man is singing about lube?\u00a0 It was like a three-minute commercial for WET.\u00a0 &#8220;Slide some oil to me, let it trickle down my spine.\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t have STP, Crisco will do just fine.&#8221;\u00a0 Crisco?\u00a0 Well, it was the &#8217;70s.<\/p>\n<p>For the most part, the cast was superb.\u00a0 How great to see <strong>Stephanie Mills <\/strong>doing&#8230;well, anything.\u00a0 And I really liked <strong>Mary J.
