One of the things Griffin blames many people for is her disastrous tenure on Fashion Police<\/em><\/strong> at E!<\/em>  “I left that show because I didn’t feel like they were doing Joan Rivers<\/strong>‘ legacy right, and I didn’t feel like I could do a good job there.”  Melissa Rivers <\/strong>has a vastly different opinion on Kathy’s departure.  “My biggest complaint was the feeling that she kind of shit all over my mother’s legacy in her statement on leaving.”  It’s a moot point now because E! <\/em>has cancelled Fashion Police<\/em>.  I suppose it’s a miracle that it lasted these past three years without Joan Rivers.  What’s more mind-boggling is that the show has been on the air in some form or another since 1995!  Admittedly, there were a few years that it went on without the Grim Rivers <\/em><\/strong>– when Joan and Missy defected to TV Guide Channel <\/em>(a little detail that is rarely mentioned in the CliffsNotes <\/em>version of the show’s history).  To pay tribute to Joan and her legacy, such as it is, E! <\/em>will air Fashion Police: The Farewell<\/em><\/strong> on November 27th.  It will include the current panel, clips from the past, and outtakes.  And likely not include a special appearance by Griffin.  Rest in peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
