While all that merriment is happening on the West Coast, your beloved Billy <\/strong>has touched down in Boston and is heading down to Provincetown for July 4th<\/sup>.  People always ask me what shows they should see each summer in Ptown, so here are my picks.  My favorite venues are The Ptown Art House <\/em>and The Crown & Anchor<\/em>.  After an impartial coin toss, I\u2019ll be starting with what\u2019s coming up at The Crown<\/em>.  Plus, how can you go wrong with any season that includes Lucie Arnaz Jr<\/strong>.?  Little Lu comes to The Crown <\/em>on July 23rd<\/sup>.  Telly Leung <\/strong>appears on August 5th<\/sup>.  Internet sensation Randy Rainbow <\/strong>was supposed to play August 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup>.  But then Leslie Jordan <\/strong>cancelled the following weekend due to work, so Randy took those dates, too \u2013 August 13th<\/sup> and 14th<\/sup>.  Bruce Vilanch <\/strong>blows into town (and I mean that literally) on August 17th<\/sup> and 18th<\/sup>.  Anthony Rapp <\/strong>will be there August 25th<\/sup>, and Linda Eder <\/strong>will perform on August 27th<\/sup> and 28th<\/sup>.  Of course, there are people who perform all season long.  I\u2019m always happy to see Thirsty Burlington <\/strong>(because, we go WAY back), and her Cher Show<\/em><\/strong> is a must-see.  I\u2019m curious to check out Star Boys<\/em><\/strong>.  Any show described as \u201ca sci-fi burlesque show\u201d is right up my\u2026well, it\u2019s up my something.  You can get tickets and more information about all of these events at OnlyAtTheCrown.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now we turn to The Ptown Art House <\/em>\u2013 which, alas, will be no more after this season.  The usual suspects return for the full summer \u2013 Judy Gold<\/strong>, Varla Jean Merman<\/strong>, Well-Strung<\/em><\/strong>, Steve Grand<\/strong>, and more drag queens than you can shake a shtick at.  Some of the special guests (performing with and without Seth Rudetsky<\/strong>) include Judy Kuhn <\/strong>on July 15th<\/sup> and 16th<\/sup>, Adam Pascal <\/strong>on July 17th<\/sup>, Christine Ebersole <\/strong>on July 19th<\/sup> and 20th<\/sup>, Will Swenson <\/strong>on July 28th<\/sup> and 29th<\/sup>, Liz Callaway <\/strong>on August 12th<\/sup>, Jeremy Jordan <\/strong>on August 13th<\/sup>, Emily Skinner <\/strong>on August 19th<\/sup>, Stephanie J. Block <\/strong>on August 21st<\/sup> and 22nd<\/sup>, and the ageless Marilyn Maye <\/strong>August 24 through 27.  Throughout the season, you can see Jinkx Monsoon <\/strong>in Beach City Bimbo<\/em><\/strong>, Miss Conception <\/strong>in Forbidden Diznee<\/em><\/strong>, and Hocum Pokem<\/em><\/strong> with Jinkx, Peaches Christ<\/strong>, and Liza Lott<\/strong>.  Naturally, you can get info and tickets at PtownArtHouse.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
