This, of course, is no surprise to any of my loyal readers.&nbsp; Way back in September of 2018, I quoted Colton\u2019s tearful farewell to <strong><em>Bachelor in Paradise<\/em><\/strong>: \u201cI just honestly feel there\u2019s something wrong with me, \u2018cause I\u2019ve never wanted something as bad as I wanted it to work.&nbsp; I want somebody I\u2019m gonna spend the rest of my life with.&nbsp; I really did give it my all, I really did try.&nbsp; I don\u2019t deserve her.&nbsp; I\u2019m broken.\u201d&nbsp; I followed that up with, \u201cYou\u2019re not broken\u2026you\u2019re just\u2026\u201d&nbsp; I honestly believe that the last person to know Colton was gay was Colton.&nbsp; Sure, he had those feelings since high school.&nbsp; But given his background, he fought it \u2013 and even attempted suicide.&nbsp; So, his finally coming out is a good thing.<\/p>\n<p>What most people don\u2019t know is how these things get orchestrated.&nbsp; His coming out interview with <strong>Robin Roberts <\/strong>is a major storyline for a new <em>Netflix <\/em>reality show, which has been in production for weeks.&nbsp; On said show, he\u2019ll be \u201cguided\u201d (their word) by <strong>Gus Kenworthy <\/strong>\u2013 and I think we all know where that\u2019ll end up.&nbsp; Many gay men have voiced their dissent.&nbsp; I suspect jealousy plays a part \u2013 Colton is attractive, has some money, has been on TV, and now is getting paid to sleep with a bunch of hot guys.&nbsp; Or am I projecting?&nbsp; BTW, he \u201cwrote\u201d a book that came out last March called, ironically enough, <strong><em>The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; The paperback edition was released a few weeks ago, and the cover promised \u201cWith a New Afterword\u201d.&nbsp; It\u2019s amazing how out of date a book can become in a matter of days.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Someone doing an about-face (or flipping another part of his anatomy) is <strong>Billy Eichner<\/strong>.&nbsp; When Colton was <strong><em>The Bachelor<\/em><\/strong>, Eichner appeared on that show saying, \u201cI\u2019m gay.&nbsp; I know that\u2019s a shock, Colton\u2026Maybe you\u2019re the first gay <em>Bachelor <\/em>and we don\u2019t even know!\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp; Of course, Colton laughed \u2013 in that way he wouldn\u2019t have if Kenworthy were making the quip (not that I think he could land that joke).&nbsp; Billy has since apologized for the barb in light of Colton coming out \u2013 and because, you know, Colton\u2019s hot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Colton Underwood is gay.&nbsp;
