We have a Memorial Day <\/em>tradition here at Billy Masters Worldwide <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 that\u2019s when we start planning our summer travels.  So now, without further ado, let me tell you what\u2019s happening in Provincetown.  After a somewhat bleak 2020, I am pleased to report that Ptown is back!  As of this writing, everything is re-opening, shows are taking place inside and out, and dance clubs will be buzzing.  However, people are not taking anything for granted.  Rick Murray<\/strong>, proprietor of The Crown & Anchor<\/em>, has gone above and beyond the call by ruling that entrance to \u201clarge scale dance events\u2026will REQUIRE proof of vaccination for entry.\u201d  Bravo, Rick.<\/p>\n

But what is Provincetown without shows?  The Crown <\/em>has the legendary Thirsty Burlington <\/strong>holding court on Mondays, while Well-Strung <\/em>violinist Edmund Bagnell <\/strong>appears on Tuesdays.  The uproarious Varla Jean Merman <\/strong>brings her Little Prick<\/em><\/strong> to the stage Tuesdays through Saturdays, while Dina Martina <\/strong>is on Wednesdays through Sundays.  There are oodles of others appearing, so check out the full schedule of events at OnlyAtTheCrown.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

After being shuttered for a year, the Provincetown Art House <\/em>resumes a full slate of performances, anchored by the hysterical Judy Gold <\/strong>on Fridays and Saturdays in July (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August).  Seth Rudetsky <\/strong>hosts a number of fantastic evenings, featuring such powerhouse vocalists as Sierra Boggess<\/strong>, Rachel Bay Jones<\/strong>, Liz Callaway<\/strong>, Lillias White<\/strong>, and Beth Malone<\/strong>.  The indefatigable Marilyn Maye <\/strong>takes up residency for two weeks on either side of Labor Day.  And scattered throughout the summer are pals like Steven Brinberg <\/strong>(Simply Barbra<\/em><\/strong>), Ben Rimalower<\/strong>, John Hill<\/strong>, Ginger Minj<\/strong>, and many more.  Their entire lineup can be found at PTownArtHouse.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

By the by, the Art House <\/em>also presents several special events at Provincetown Town Hall <\/em>\u2013 including concerts by Stephanie J. Block<\/strong>, Alaska Thunderfuck<\/strong>, Kristin Chenoweth<\/strong>, and Kelli O\u2019Hara<\/strong>.  Same website.<\/p>\n

Over at the Pilgrim House<\/em>, Miss Richfield 1981 <\/strong>continues her reign Monday through Friday, Paige Turner <\/strong>is Wednesday through Saturday, Steve Grand <\/strong>is there July 10-20, and the legendary Sharon McNight <\/strong>returns July 31st<\/sup> through August 3rd<\/sup>.  Specifics can be found on PilgrimHousePtown.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d be remiss if I didn\u2019t mention that The Post Office Caf\u00e9 and Cabaret <\/em>is reopening under new management.  There will be shows by Seth Sikes<\/strong>, Anita Cocktail<\/strong>, Debby Holiday<\/strong>, Del Shores<\/strong>, and even Jason Dottley<\/strong>.   All the details are on PostOfficeCafe.net<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Provincetown Theater <\/em>reopens\u2026with a twist.  Despite restrictions being lifted, they have constructed an outdoor performing space to provide the audience with a safe, tranquil and unique experience.  In June, they have Neptune<\/em><\/strong>, which is a one-man show starring Timothy DuWhite<\/strong>.  A writer\/producer from This Is Us<\/em><\/strong> has written a play called The Cake<\/em><\/strong>, which will run in July.  And August will see Tennessee Williams<\/strong>\u2019 classic, The Glass Menagerie<\/em><\/strong>, which was born in Ptown.
