There\u2019s been a lot of criticism that the show focuses too much on the former tight end\u2019s sexual orientation.&nbsp; It even kicks off with the song \u201cI\u2019m Always Chasing Rainbows\u201d.&nbsp; Subtle.&nbsp; In addition to his brain injuries, there is conjecture that his being outed on the radio led to his suicide two days later (an allegation echoed by Aaron\u2019s brother).&nbsp; The doc spent an inordinate amount of time blaming his violent tendencies on his internal sexual conflict.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve previously told you the allegations of former <em>Marine<\/em>, <strong>Dennis SanSoucie<\/strong>.&nbsp; He claims to have had a \u201crelationship\u201d with Aaron from 7<sup>th<\/sup> grade until they were juniors in high school.&nbsp; He also states that while Hernandez didn\u2019t want to be gay, he \u201cparticipated\u201d with many people.&nbsp; \u201cI was a small piece of Aaron\u2019s sexual activity.\u201d&nbsp; And yet, to the best of my knowledge, no other \u201cparticipants\u201d have come forward.&nbsp; Dennis says Aaron was terrified of his father finding out.&nbsp; \u201cMr. Hernandez was well-known as a man\u2019s man; a father that slapped the faggot right out of you.\u201d&nbsp; However, Mr. Hernandez died when his son was 16.&nbsp; It seems that rather than free Aaron, it made him snap.&nbsp; Of course, his mother shacking up with his favorite cousin\u2019s husband probably didn\u2019t help.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think the doc ever mentioned Aaron having beards or girlfriends \u2013 aside from his <em>fianc\u00e9e<\/em>, <strong>Shayanna Jenkins<\/strong>.&nbsp; In a recent interview, Shayanna weighed in on all the speculation.&nbsp; \u201cYou can\u2019t describe someone\u2019s sexuality without them being here.&nbsp; Although I\u2019ve had a child with Aaron, I still can\u2019t tell you what he was feeling inside.\u201d&nbsp; Her words came back to me during a sequence in the documentary where they played a prison call between the couple.&nbsp; When he mentions being in \u201can all-male jail\u2026besides \u2018those things\u2019\u201d, Shayanna chastises him.&nbsp; \u201cStop calling them \u2018those things\u2019.&nbsp; Stop it.&nbsp; That is so rude.&nbsp; They are called transgender.&nbsp; Don\u2019t call them \u2018those things\u2019.\u201d&nbsp; When Aaron giggles and says that\u2019s what the other inmates call them, Shayanna says, \u201cDon\u2019t be hopping on the bandwagon.&nbsp; Be a leader.&nbsp; They are not \u2018things\u2019.&nbsp; They are humans \u2013 just like you.\u201d&nbsp; Regarding his sexuality, Shayanna says, \u201cIf he did feel that way, or if he felt the urge, I wish that I was told.&nbsp; I wish that he would have told me because I wouldn\u2019t have loved him any differently.&nbsp; I would have understood.&nbsp; It\u2019s not shameful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an ironic codicil, the docuseries ends with footage from Aaron\u2019s funeral \u2013 at the <strong><em>Faggas Funeral Home<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many of you have asked me about the Netflix docuseries, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez.&nbsp;
