As to the other mayor, Buttigieg <\/strong>held his own during the debate \u2013 and I know a whole lotta you would like to hold his own yourselves.  After auteur Jim Fall <\/strong>made faux photos of Pete <\/strong>sporting scruff, the Internet exploded.  Suddenly, gays everywhere lost their minds lusting after him.  Some pundits are now predicting that a bearded Buttigieg could top the polls \u2013 to say nothing of the voters.  Funny, but nobody gets all that excited when they see photos of Mike Pence <\/strong>and his beard.<\/p>\n

Last week, Rush Limbaugh <\/strong>\u2013 who stands alongside other Medal of Freedom <\/em>recipients like Rosa Parks <\/strong>and Harper Lee <\/strong>\u2013 made what some people would consider hate speech about Buttigieg.  On a subsequent radio show, he added, \u201cHell, the president even called me about this\u2026he said, \u2018Rush, I just got to tell you something.  Never apologize, don\u2019t ever.\u2019\u201d  Pete, too, had some thoughts.  \u201cI\u2019m in a faithful, loving, committed marriage.  I\u2019m proud of my marriage.  I\u2019m proud of my husband.  I\u2019m not going to be lectured on family values from the likes of Rush Limbaugh or anybody who supports Donald J. Trump as the moral as well as political leader of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been said that most black people voted for Barack Obama<\/strong>, and only about half of the women voted for Hillary Clinton<\/strong>.  That got me thinking \u2013 where does that leave Buttigieg with gay voters?  Believe it or not, there is a group out there called Queers Against Pete<\/em><\/strong>.  On their website, they state, \u201cWe cannot in good conscience allow Mayor Pete to become the nominee without demanding that he address the needs and concerns of the broader Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual communities.\u201d  Oh, geez, now I\u2019m supposed to care about the asexuals?  I\u2019d say get your own group, but if they could, they probably wouldn\u2019t be asexual!  To all of you out there, may I simply say this \u2013 calm the fuck down.  No candidate is gonna check every box for every voter.  As for the Queers Against Pete<\/em>, they had the gall to protest at one of Pete\u2019s campaign stops in San Francisco.  Oh, the humanity!  Buttigieg quickly had the disrupters removed, stating, \u201cI respect your activism.  But this is a gathering of supporters of our campaign and I just got a question about my husband and I\u2019m really excited to answer it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In case this sways your vote, Cher<\/strong> has thrown her support behind Joe Biden<\/strong>.  After the Nevada debate, the Dark Lady Tweeted <\/em>the following: \u201cThis will most likely be unpopular, but last night I asked myself, \u2018Who would I be, if I denied a man I know and respect for a shiny, new, tech savvy billionaire?\u2019\u201d  Replace \u201cbillionaire\u201d with \u201cmusician\u201d, and I think that\u2019s the same speech she made when leaving Sonny Bono <\/strong>for Gregg Allman<\/strong>!  She continued, \u201cJoe\u2019s made mistakes, like all of us, but I believe he would be honest, smart, civil president who doesn\u2019t have to learn on the job.\u201d  Since Cher is only conscious a few hours a day, it\u2019s no surprise that her guy is Sleepy Joe.<\/p>\n
