For a split second, I was certain that I had the big C.&nbsp; No, not cancer \u2013 the coronavirus.&nbsp; Yes, I\u2019ve been vaccinated, and yes, I asked everyone I\u2019ve slept with for proof of vaccination.&nbsp; But, people lie.&nbsp; After the cluster of Delta variant cases from Fourth of July festivities in Provincetown, concern was in the air.&nbsp; When I came down with cold symptoms 10 days later, even my usual <em>laissez-faire <\/em>attitude was challenged.&nbsp; So I made haste to get tested \u2013 better safe than sorry, as the saying goes.&nbsp; I am happy to report I have nothing more contagious than a nasty New England summer cold.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While life goes on in Ptown, people are on tenterhooks\u2026whatever those are.&nbsp; An indoor mask mandate has just been announced.&nbsp; How this will affect things remains to be seen.&nbsp; In terms of shows, I know that <strong>Billy Francesca <\/strong>cut his run short due to corona concern.&nbsp; <strong>Steve Grand <\/strong>was in town for two weeks, and posted the following: \u201cI tested positive for Covid-19 today.&nbsp; I\u2019m fully vaccinated.&nbsp; I started experiencing symptoms last Friday, a day after I flew back from Ptown.&nbsp; I say this not to alarm, but to notify anyone who had contact with me while I was there.\u201d&nbsp; If you had \u201ccontact\u201d with Steve, consider yourself notified \u2013 and feel free to send us details (and videos).<\/p>\n<p>By the way, I have been duly chastised that all of my reports regarding shows to see in Ptown omitted the <strong><em>Red Room <\/em><\/strong>at <em>Velvet<\/em>.&nbsp; And, it\u2019s true \u2013 this is the best kept secret in Provincetown.&nbsp; Nobody has mentioned it to me \u2013 with the exception of a Thursday night underwear party!&nbsp; While that event hasn\u2019t made its way onto their website, I do see a full lineup of stellar talent \u2013 anchored by my <em>bon ami<\/em>, <strong>Jimmy James<\/strong>, who is there all season long with <strong><em>Love Is In The Air<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; With pals like <strong>Jackie Beat <\/strong>in <strong><em>See Me While I\u2019m Still Alive<\/em><\/strong> (August 10-14) and <strong>Lady Bunny<\/strong>\u2019s <strong><em>Pig in a Wig<\/em><\/strong> (Aug 13-17), I\u2019m tempted to zip down.&nbsp;
