The coronavirus has a face \u2013 Tom Hanks <\/strong>and Rita Wilson<\/strong>.  On one hand, Rita Wilson FINALLY has a credit to her name.  Still, it must irk her to no end that many reports simply say \u201cTom Hanks and his wife\u201d.  Rita has striven to not simply be \u201cwife\u201d.  She\u2019s acted, sung, and even produced.  Yet whatever she does, her most notable credit is \u201cwife\u201d.  The couple\u2019s position as the face of COVID-19 was short-lived once Idris Elba <\/strong>came forward.  And then, Daniel Dae Kim<\/strong>.  If all of these people perish, they\u2019d likely be remembered during the Oscars<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 \u201cIn Memoriam\u201d as \u201cActor\u201d\u2026except for Rita Wilson.  If she even makes the cut, I suspect she\u2019ll simply be referred to as \u201cWife\u201d. <\/p>\n

You know the coronavirus is losing some of its cache once former Bachelor<\/em><\/strong> Colton Underwood <\/strong>got it.  Elsewhere on TV, we must add dear Andy Cohen <\/strong>to that list (silver lining \u2013 I bet he\u2019s thrilled to be in any group that includes Idris Elba!).  Idris said people should listen to medical officials.  \u201cStay home people and be pragmatic.\u201d  Meanwhile, Evangeline Lilly <\/strong>scoffed.  She actually referred to the pandemic as \u201ca respiratory flu\u201d, and says she is not socially distancing.  \u201cSome people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives\u201d.  Her one concession is that her children must wash their hands before she takes them to gymnastics camp.  She doesn\u2019t seem concerned about them washing when they get home!  So, who are you gonna listen to?  Idris Elba or the chick from Lost<\/em><\/strong>?  Or Dr. Fauci <\/strong>(is it just me, or does he look like he could have been an extra in The Lord of the Rings<\/em><\/strong>?).<\/p>\n

I\u2019m convinced Donald Trump <\/strong>purposely gives his daily briefings right in the middle of The View<\/em><\/strong>.  That\u2019s no accident!  Thank God for West Coast feeds (and ABC<\/u><\/strong>.com<\/u><\/strong>).  While many TV shows have gone on hiatus, The View<\/em> continues to be live \u2013 sans audience.  Also sans Joy Behar<\/strong>.  The elder stateswoman of The View<\/em>, being of a certain age, is taking time off and sequestering herself in her Hamptons abode.  Whoopi is moderating from home.  The bright side is the welcomed return of Sara Haines<\/strong>.  Since she\u2019s already at ABC<\/em> for her own show an hour later, she\u2019s the perfect fill-in.  In fact, everything about her is perfect.  She is perhaps the most ideal View<\/em> co-host since Meredith Vieira<\/strong>.  A bright ray of articulate sunshine and smarts to start my day.  It doesn\u2019t hurt that she has a hot gay brother.  Yes, Joe<\/strong>, I\u2019m talking to you.  Since we\u2019re both just sitting home, drop me an e-mail, message me on Facebook<\/em>, and let\u2019s see where this goes.  According to The Sun<\/em>, it could boost both of our immune systems!<\/p>\n
