<strong>Betty White <\/strong>was the last remaining cast member of <strong><em>The Golden Girls<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>The Mary Tyler Moore Show<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; In fact, she lost three MTM colleagues this year \u2013 <strong>Cloris Leachman<\/strong>, <strong>Ed Asner <\/strong>and <strong>Gavin MacLeod<\/strong>.&nbsp; Till the end, she was slightly more Sue Ann Nivens than Rose Nylund \u2013 thwarting the advances of <strong>Ryan Reynolds <\/strong>and lusting after <strong>Robert Redford<\/strong>.&nbsp; But in actuality, she eschewed romantic entanglements since the passing of her third husband, <strong>Allen Ludden<\/strong>.&nbsp; Everyone loved Betty White\u2026unless you count <strong>Bea Arthur<\/strong>.&nbsp; But that\u2019s the exception that proves the rule.&nbsp; She was one helluva gal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And now, Happy New Year!!!&nbsp; I hate to be predictable, but faithful readers know I spent the eve with loved ones watching a loved one.&nbsp; Yes, the <strong>Billy Masters <\/strong>celebrations included watching <strong>Lindsay Wagner<\/strong>\u2019s first film \u2013 <strong><em>Two People<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 and her most recent release \u2013 <strong><em>Christmas at the Ranch<\/em><\/strong> (not to be confused with her 2019 endeavor, <strong><em>Christmas on the Range<\/em><\/strong>).&nbsp; This new effort is one of those holiday flicks featuring a same-sex couple \u2013 and let me add that I\u2019ve yet to see one worthy of the cast.&nbsp; In <em>Two People<\/em> (co-starring <strong>Peter Fonda<\/strong>), Wagner was briefly topless and elsewhere wore a number of fabulous capes.&nbsp; So I consider it a draw.<\/p>\n<p>We took a break to check out coverage from <em>Times Square<\/em>.&nbsp; It\u2019s been noted that <em>CNN <\/em>was dominated by gays \u2013 even passive gays!&nbsp; Dear <strong>Andy Cohen <\/strong>is always a trailblazer.&nbsp; Rather than wait to catch the coronavirus over the holiday, he caught it earlier in the month (this was his second bout).&nbsp; He got the all-clear to join <strong>Anderson Cooper <\/strong>\u2013 who might have been wise to don a hazmat suit.&nbsp; All the alcohol mixed with Cohen\u2019s medication beautifully and led to (among other things) a lengthy drunken rant against outgoing <strong>Mayor de Blasio<\/strong>.&nbsp; Reaction from the gays on social media was mixed.&nbsp;
