And by dwarfs, I mean the seven little men immortalized in <em>Disney<\/em>\u2019s <strong><em>Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 although the story dates back to the 1800s and the <strong>Brothers Grimm<\/strong>.&nbsp; The controversy surrounds <em>Disney<\/em>\u2019s proposed live-action remake.&nbsp; Spearheading the controversy is the diminutive <strong>Peter Dinklage<\/strong>.&nbsp; At first, I thought he was lobbying for a role.&nbsp; Perhaps all seven \u2013 it\u2019s amazing what they can do with CGI.&nbsp; Who else are they gonna cast?&nbsp; People on <em>TLC <\/em>shows?&nbsp; But, no, Dinklage was actually chastising <em>Disney <\/em>for \u201cstill making that fucking backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together.&nbsp; What the fuck are you doing, man?&nbsp; Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox?\u201d&nbsp; I hate to be a stickler, but in the <em>Disney <\/em>flick, the dwarfs live in a cottage \u2013 not a cave.&nbsp; And, as to a \u201csoapbox\u201d, exactly how old is Dinklage?<\/p>\n<p>Still, I couldn\u2019t help but wonder \u2013 who were these dwarfs?&nbsp; I always assumed they were brothers, and were working in the mine for some nefarious rich bitch.&nbsp; So, I took a closer look at the song \u201cHeigh-Ho\u201d.&nbsp; The first clue comes in the first verse: \u201cWe dig\u2026in our mine the whole day through.\u201d&nbsp; Aha!&nbsp; So it\u2019s their mine!&nbsp; And, as it turns out, digging is \u201cwhat we like to do\u201d.&nbsp; And it\u2019s profitable \u2013 \u201cIt ain\u2019t no trick to get rich quick, if you dig dig dig with a shovel or a pick, in a mine!&nbsp; In a mine!&nbsp; Where a million diamonds shine.\u201d&nbsp; So, they\u2019re dripping in diamonds.&nbsp; But that\u2019s not all.&nbsp; \u201cA thousand rubies, sometimes more, but we don\u2019t know what we dig \u2018em for.\u201d&nbsp; And you thought <strong>Dopey <\/strong>was the only stupid one!&nbsp; So, let me get this straight \u2013 they\u2019ve got their own mine full of diamonds and rubies, and Dinklage is worried they\u2019re being victimized?&nbsp; To make the situation more ridiculous, a spokesperson from <em>Disney <\/em>stated, \u201cTo avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community.\u201d&nbsp;
