It\u2019s as if someone realized that the gays enjoy theatre!&nbsp; Kudos to <strong>Ariana DeBose<\/strong>, who was a dynamic (if slightly frenetic) host.&nbsp; The primetime <em>Tony <\/em>presentation kicked off with the \u201cFeatured Actor in a Play\u201d going to <strong>Jesse Tyler Ferguson <\/strong>for <strong><em>Take Me Out<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 which also won \u201cBest Revival\u201d.&nbsp; The iconic <strong>Patti LuPone <\/strong>won her third <em>Tony <\/em>for <strong><em>Company<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; And speaking of <strong><em>Company<\/em><\/strong>, <strong>Matt Doyle<\/strong>\u2019s win was surely a memorable moment.&nbsp; This all led to the show winning \u201cBest Revival of a Musical\u201d and <strong>Marianne Elliott <\/strong>being named \u201cBest Director of a Musical\u201d.&nbsp; Lastly, how thrilling for <strong><em>A Strange Loop<\/em><\/strong> to be named \u201cBest Musical\u201d \u2013 I can\u2019t wait to see it.&nbsp; Congrats to all!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Beanie Feldstein <\/strong>has Covid.&nbsp; I share the news because many of you wanted to see <strong><em>Funny Girl<\/em><\/strong>, but didn\u2019t want to see Beanie.&nbsp; And that\u2019s a problem since she is the aforementioned <em>girl <\/em>(although, if reports are to be believed, more <em>amusing <\/em>than <em>funny<\/em>).&nbsp; \u201cI just found out that I tested positive for Covid, so unfortunately I\u2019m gonna be out of the show for a little while to keep everybody safe.&nbsp; I\u2019m vaxxed and I am boosted, and I am very grateful to not be feeling too bad.&nbsp; I\u2019m just really bummed to miss seeing you all at the theatre and I can\u2019t wait to get back onstage very soon.\u201d&nbsp; If you\u2019re fleet of foot, you could get to see her understudy, the reportedly terrific <strong>Julie Benko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Since it is Pride Month, I feel it\u2019s worth mentioning that Beanie recently came out as a lesbian.&nbsp;
