With Fourth of July weekend imminent, Billy <\/strong>will be heading to Provincetown for a bacchanal of boys and booze.  And let\u2019s throw a bit of Broadway into the mix, since some fantastic performers are heading to our little patch of paradise precipitously perched on the crest of Cape Cod.  Here\u2019s a glimpse at the months ahead.<\/p>\n

The veritable Crown & Anchor <\/em>has gone through a transition.  The largest venue in town recently changed hands.  Happily, the entertainment lineup remains as fantastic as ever \u2013 and perhaps slightly better.  For years, Ryan Landry<\/strong>\u2019s legendary Showgirls<\/em><\/strong> was a staple for The Crown<\/em>.  A squabble with management meant Landry has been nomadic for a handful of years.  Happily, he has returned to the fold and the show returns to its Monday night perch.  This past week, both Parker Posey <\/strong>and Jesse Tyler Ferguson <\/strong>showed up to enjoy such Ptown staples as Thirsty Burlington <\/strong>and Randy Roberts<\/strong>.  Photos and videos can be found on BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thirsty\u2019s tribute to Cher<\/strong> will be at The Crown <\/em>all summer.  So will Varla Jean Merman<\/strong>\u2019s new show, Ready to Blow<\/em><\/strong>.  There\u2019s so much going on at The Crown<\/em>, you should check out their website, OnlyAtTheCrown.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Ptown Art House <\/em>under the aegis of Mark Cortale <\/strong>is back with an extraordinarily diverse roster of stars.  From Broadway <\/em>babies, to devilish drag queens and everything in between, the Art House <\/em>has something for everyone.  You can never go wrong with resident comedian, the outrageous Judy Gold<\/strong>.  Sprinkled throughout the summer are Faith Prince <\/strong>and Jason Graae <\/strong>(forever proving that they are not the same person), Ginger Minj <\/strong>(ditto), Melissa Errico<\/strong>, Liz <\/strong>and Ann Hampton Callaway<\/strong>, Nicolas King<\/strong>, and Steven Brinberg <\/strong>as Simply Barbra<\/em><\/strong>!  And, what would a summer be without the beloved Marilyn Maye<\/strong>, who returns for her 12th<\/sup> season at the end of August.<\/p>\n

The Art House <\/em>also hosts Seth Rudetsky<\/strong>\u2019s wildly popular evenings.  This summer, he hosts such greats as Audra McDonald<\/strong>, Rachel Bay Jones<\/strong>, Lillias White<\/strong>, Stephanie J. Block<\/strong>, Victoria Clark<\/strong>, Donna McKechnie<\/strong>, and even Chita Rivera<\/strong>.  Some of those evenings are too big for the confines of the Art House <\/em>and will be held at Town Hall<\/em>.  Others at that larger venue include Bianca Del Rio <\/strong>and even The Indigo Girls<\/em><\/strong>!  Check out PtownArtHouse.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Pilgrim House <\/em>has quite a lineup, led by the rambunctious Miss Richfield 1981<\/strong>.  In hot pursuit are Miss Conception<\/strong>, Latrice Royale<\/strong>, Ada Vox<\/strong>, and the legendary Sharon McNight<\/strong>.  Speaking of legendary, Coco Peru <\/strong>will be there at the end of August for her (alleged) final Ptown performances.  Grab your tix at PilgrimHousePtown.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
