I first met Sherri Shepherd <\/strong>at the Hairspray<\/em><\/strong> film premiere.  And if you know anything about either of us, you won\u2019t be surprised to learn that we were at the buffet!  You will not find anyone with a bigger and more genuine heart.  She\u2019s always been supportive of my endeavors \u2013 whether it was surprising me on the radio program One in Ten<\/em><\/strong>, or popping on when her former co-star Eric Roberts <\/strong>was a guest on Billy Masters LIVE<\/em><\/strong>.  So I am thrilled to announce that her hit daytime talk show, Sherri<\/em><\/strong>, has just been renewed for not one but TWO seasons!  Hearing Sherri\u2019s stories is a great way to start the day (or end it \u2013 depending on what city you\u2019re in).<\/p>\n

Bette Midler <\/strong>recently went to see the Broadway <\/em>revival of The Music Man<\/em><\/strong>, and she positively gushed over the production, featuring Hugh Jackman <\/strong>and Sutton Foster<\/strong>.  \u201cWhat a shame The Music Man <\/em>at the #WinterGarden in NYC is closing on the 19th<\/sup>.  It\u2019s one of the best shows I\u2019ve ever seen in my life: absolutely beautiful.\u201d  It may be happenstance, but this production shares many things with the Midler-helmed revival of Hello, Dolly!<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 a director and choreographer, to say nothing of the set and costume designer.  At least she knows what she likes!<\/p>\n

The drama behind the revival of Funny Girl<\/em><\/strong> isn\u2019t over.  While Lea Michele <\/strong>is firmly ensconced in the Broadway <\/em>production, ladies are lining up to lead the national tour.  Despite the success of standby Julie Benko<\/strong>, touring cities want a \u201cname\u201d\u2026but not necessarily a BIG name.  People like a Hailee Steinfeld<\/strong>, Chloe Grace Moretz<\/strong>, Dove Cameron<\/strong>, Elle Fanning<\/strong>, Bella Thorne<\/strong>, Camila Mendes<\/strong>, Natalia Dyer<\/strong>, Victoria<\/strong> Justice<\/strong>, Ariel Winter <\/strong>and even Bindi Irwin <\/strong>are vying for the role.  Someone not mentioned but who I think would be great is Elizabeth Gillies<\/strong>.  Eventually, I\u2019ll mention a name someone recognizes.<\/p>\n

There I was, minding my own business, when I stopped into one of the many Dunkin\u2019 Donuts<\/em><\/strong> (now colloquially referred to as Dunkin\u2019<\/em>) near my family\u2019s ancestral home.  And who do I see behind the counter?  Ben Affleck<\/strong>!  Wearing a headset!  Affleck at a Dunkin\u2019 <\/em>is no surprise \u2013 he\u2019s been a vociferous devotee for years.  I\u2019m told he was filming a Super Bowl <\/em>commercial.  And, wait \u2013 wasn\u2019t that JLo <\/strong>handing out orders at the drive-thru window?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
