I\u2019ve heard all the stories, seen all the parodies, but I have never watched the network\u2026until last week.&nbsp; There I was, on the treadmill at the gym and noticed that <strong>Tucker Carlson <\/strong>was an odd shade of burnt umber.&nbsp; I thought maybe there was something wrong with the tint on the TV, but <strong>Sean Hannity <\/strong>looked fine.&nbsp; Maybe Tucker is using <strong>Mr. Trump<\/strong>\u2019s spray tan equipment \u2013 although it\u2019s just been disclosed that Carlson said of the embattled ex-president, \u201cI hate him passionately.\u201d&nbsp; Well, you know \u2013 there\u2019s a fine line between love and hate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the topic of \u201cFake News\u201d, the following headline was seen on the front page of <em>New York Times Arts<\/em> \u2013 \u201cThe stakes are high for the new <em>Broadway <\/em>revival of <strong><em>Sweeney Todd <\/em><\/strong>starring <strong>Josh Groban <\/strong>and <strong>Annaleigh Ashford<\/strong>.&nbsp; The musical hasn\u2019t been seen or heard in New York for 43 years.\u201d&nbsp; A curious claim, since there were <em>Broadway <\/em>revivals in 1989 and 2005 \u2013 both of which were nominated for <em>Best Revival of a Musical <\/em>at the <strong><em>Tony Awards<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; Then there are the <em>New York City Opera <\/em>productions of 1984 and 2004 at <em>Lincoln<\/em> <em>Center<\/em>, or the <em>New York Philharmonic<\/em>\u2019s semi-staged productions in 2000 and 2014.&nbsp; And, let\u2019s not forget the 2021 immersive production that took place in an actual pie shop!&nbsp; In short, <em>New York Times<\/em>, the musical has had at least seven productions in New York City since the original.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Broadway <\/em>revival of <strong><em>Funny Girl<\/em><\/strong> will close when <strong>Lea Michele <\/strong>leaves this fall.&nbsp; While there was wild speculation that the producers would try to find another <strong>Fanny Brice<\/strong>, it was determined that nobody could fill <strong>Ms. Michele<\/strong>\u2019s shoes.&nbsp; That\u2019s quite a contention, since the original <em>Broadway <\/em>production lasted almost two years after <strong>Streisand <\/strong>departed.&nbsp; The show continued to do good business with the accomplished <strong>Mimi Hines<\/strong>.&nbsp; I guess they don\u2019t make \u2018em like Mimi anymore \u2013 unless I\u2019m supposed to believe Lea is more irreplaceable than Babs!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have to make a confession \u2013 I have never watched FOX News.&nbsp;
