<strong>Todd Fisher <\/strong>filed an application for his sister <strong>Carrie Fisher <\/strong>to get a star on the <strong><em>Hollywood Walk of Fame<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; He was told that they had to wait three years before a posthumous star could be issued.&nbsp; A month ago, he got a call from a friend saying they\u2019d see him at the ceremony on May the 4<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; This was news to him, so he called the <em>Hollywood Walk of Fame<\/em>.&nbsp; They told him that the guest list was being handled by <em>Disney<\/em>.&nbsp; Then <em>Disney <\/em>said that he was not on the family\u2019s guest list.&nbsp; The family?&nbsp; Of his sister?&nbsp; The person controlling the list is <strong>Billie Lourd<\/strong>, Carrie\u2019s child with agent <strong>Bryan Lourd <\/strong>(who is gay, but that\u2019s another story).&nbsp; Not only was Todd not invited, but neither were Carrie\u2019s half-sisters <strong>Joely <\/strong>and <strong>Tricia Leigh Fisher<\/strong>.&nbsp; After failing to contact Billie (who had been incommunicado since Carrie\u2019s death), they issued a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Billie then went public saying, \u201cThe truth is I did not invite them to this ceremony.&nbsp; They know why.\u201d&nbsp; Shades of <strong><em>Mommie Dearest<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 \u201cfor reasons which are well known to them\u201d.&nbsp; Billie is upset that Todd wrote a book about his mother and sister a year after their death, and that Joely also talked about them in her memoir.&nbsp; \u201cThough I recognize they have every right to do whatever they choose, their actions were very hurtful to me at the most difficult time in my life.\u201d&nbsp; This outraged me, so I took to social media and said, \u201cBut you see, Billie, this star is not about you \u2013 it is about your mother.&nbsp; It is her star, and (as someone who knew her), I believe she\u2019d want her siblings there.\u201d&nbsp; This drew enormous response from both sides \u2013 mostly pro-Fishers.&nbsp; I wrapped up by saying if I were the Fishers, I\u2019d show up anyway.&nbsp; Apparently, Billie\u2019s people covered that angle, too.&nbsp; Todd was told that \u201cif I showed up, [Billie] would not.\u201d&nbsp; Someone needs to grow up.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Then there\u2019s the Fisher\/Lourd feud.&nbsp;
