Not <strong>Nancy Pelosi<\/strong>.&nbsp; Not <strong>Elizabeth Warren<\/strong>.&nbsp; I\u2019m talking about <strong>Madonna <\/strong>\u2013 who, admittedly, looks good for her age\u2026if you have the right filters and sit in the nosebleeds.&nbsp; Otherwise, you know, she\u2019s a 65-year-old pop star\u2026but good for her.&nbsp; The reviews from her long-awaited tour are generally good, and the audience is receptive \u2013 once the show actually starts.&nbsp; But woe be unto you should you attend one of the many shows that start late.&nbsp; At some UK venues, people missed the last few songs: \u201cRain\u201d, \u201cCelebration\u201d, \u201cMusic\u201d, \u201cBitch, I\u2019m Madonna\u201d, among others.&nbsp; Why?&nbsp; Officially, the technical pre-show check ran late and the venues have very strict ending times \u2013 whether the show is over or not.&nbsp; Except people spied Madonna showing up at some venues long after the start time.&nbsp; Her devoted fans are not surprised.&nbsp; The <em>Rebel Heart Tour<\/em> routinely started almost two hours late, while the <em>Madame X Tour<\/em> was usually only 90 minutes late.&nbsp; But give Madonna a break \u2013 it\u2019s hard to find the stage wearing an eye patch!&nbsp; Maybe now she\u2019s just busy tuning her guitar!<\/p>\n<p>Like many of you, I watched the opening night on <em>TikTok<\/em>.&nbsp; I was particularly moved by her rendition of \u201cLike a Virgin\u201d.&nbsp; But when she sang, \u201cTouched for the very first time,\u201d I wondered if she could remember that far back.&nbsp; Perhaps she\u2019s given up Kabbalah and has taken up Past Life Regression!&nbsp; Personally, I didn\u2019t mind seeing her kids.&nbsp; But when did Madonna stop being the queen of reinvention and start copying others?&nbsp; She\u2019s no longer a trailblazer, pushing the limits \u2013 she\u2019s a copycat, pushing a walker!&nbsp; If you can\u2019t lead, at least find a way to keep up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I wholly identified with her story about the early poor days in NYC.&nbsp; She\u2019d go home with cute boys if it meant she could clean up.&nbsp; \u201cBlowjobs for showers,\u201d is how Madge described it.&nbsp; In my time (which, as we\u2019ve established, was only slightly after Madonna\u2019s time), the boys didn\u2019t have to be so cute.&nbsp; But I was known to pretend to fall asleep so I could get to spend the night in a bed.&nbsp; Eh, I\u2019ve never been so picky about where I slept.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let\u2019s move onto that old woman.&nbsp;
