{"id":92733,"date":"2024-06-16T22:57:54","date_gmt":"2024-06-17T05:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/?p=92733"},"modified":"2024-06-16T22:57:54","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T05:57:54","slug":"grandpa-spacey-speaks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/blog\/2024\/06\/16\/grandpa-spacey-speaks\/","title":{"rendered":"Grandpa Spacey Speaks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In present-day England, <strong>Kevin Spacey <\/strong>has been increasingly chatty.&nbsp; His most recent interview was with <strong>Piers Morgan <\/strong>and lasted over 90 minutes.&nbsp; He again reminded us that he\u2019s never been found guilty in any of his criminal or civil proceedings.&nbsp; He admitted that while he\u2019s done nothing illegal, he\u2019s been known to be somewhat \u201chandsy\u201d.&nbsp; While I\u2019m willing to believe many of these cases are fabricated or blown out of proportion, the phrase \u201cwhere there\u2019s smoke, there\u2019s fire\u201d springs to mind.&nbsp; After comparing his situation to <strong>Dalton Trumbo<\/strong>\u2019s blacklisting, Spacey began to sob and revealed that he is broke, has millions of dollars of legal bills, and his house in Baltimore is being auctioned off due to foreclosure.&nbsp; Then a funny thing happened \u2013 two days later, the auction was cancelled.&nbsp; Strike that \u2013 it was \u201cpostponed\u201d.&nbsp; The new auction date is July 25<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t think Kevin hasn\u2019t gotten any work.&nbsp; There have been a couple of projects.&nbsp; One was <strong><em>The Man Who Drew God<\/em><\/strong>, which was directed by and starred <strong>Franco Nero <\/strong>alongside Kevin Spacey in a small-ish role.&nbsp; Nero\u2019s wife, <strong>Vanessa Redgrave<\/strong>, was originally cast in a role that was ultimately played by <strong>Faye Dunaway<\/strong>.&nbsp; Spacey and Dunaway together?&nbsp; Alas, it was only released in Russia and Italy \u2013 where, presumably, both Spacey and Dunaway are HUGE!&nbsp; Spacey also got the title role in <strong><em>Peter Five Eight<\/em><\/strong>, which was released in the US <em>On Demand <\/em>\u2013 although we\u2019re not exactly sure who was demanding it.&nbsp; It\u2019s called a \u201clow-budget indie thriller\u201d.&nbsp; Having seen it, I can honestly say that\u2019s an insult to low-budget indie flicks everywhere.
