I said that several times during <strong><em>Mama I\u2019m a Big Girl Now<\/em><\/strong> at <em>The Wallis <\/em>in Beverly Hills.&nbsp; After saying it the third time, I was sure of two things: 1) I had to open my review with those words and B) If this show becomes a big hit, my quote will be in every ad!&nbsp; You would think seeing <strong>Marissa Jaret Winokur<\/strong>, <strong>Laura Bell Bundy <\/strong>and <strong>Kerry Butler <\/strong>(the original stars of <strong><em>Hairspray<\/em><\/strong>) would be a little stroll down memory lane.&nbsp; But how wrong you\u2019d be.&nbsp; Every number is a major hit from a major show \u2013 it\u2019s like a collection of 11 o\u2019clock numbers!&nbsp; This is a fun-filled, jam-packed, 90-minute love fest of three divas who have chops, belts, and receipts.&nbsp; They might have taken <em>Broadway <\/em>by storm 22 years ago, but each of them has more than enough credits to fill a solo show.&nbsp; OK, maybe not Marissa, but she was on <em>Dancing with the Stars<\/em>, <strong><em>Celebrity Big Brother<\/em><\/strong>, and fired from <strong><em>The Talk<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 so she\u2019s got plenty to talk about.&nbsp; The love between them is genuine and the \u201clet&#8217;s put on a show\u201d attitude is uproarious.&nbsp; And we learned things.&nbsp; For instance, <strong>Britney Spears <\/strong>was LBB\u2019s understudy in <strong><em>Ruthless<\/em><\/strong>, Kerry won a whole lotta beauty pageants, and Marissa wants to play Mama Rose so badly, she can taste it (she&#8217;d be sensational).&nbsp; Yes, I already knew all of that already, but maybe you didn\u2019t.&nbsp; Either way, it\u2019s all presented in such a delicious way, I could see it again and again.&nbsp; And I very well might.&nbsp; This one-night-only LA gig was just a warm-up for <em>off-Broadway<\/em>\u2019s <em>New World Stages<\/em>.&nbsp; They kick off shows on November 2<sup>nd<\/sup> for a limited run \u2013 \u201crun\u201d being the operative word.&nbsp; RUN \u2013 don\u2019t walk \u2013 and get your tickets at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.MamaImABigGirlNow.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>MamaImABigGirlNow.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.&nbsp; Tell \u2018em <strong>Billy <\/strong>sent ya!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kerry and LBB brought down the house with a high-voltage performance of \u201cFor Good\u201d (LBB has played Glinda on <em>Broadway<\/em>, while Kerry hasn\u2019t taken on Elphaba&#8230;yet).&nbsp; Their performance reminded me of a story I didn\u2019t get to in last week\u2019s column.&nbsp; To avoid the head-to-head competition that happened at the <em>Tonys<\/em>, the powers-that-be behind the film of <strong><em>Wicked<\/em><\/strong> will be submitting <strong>Cynthia Erivo <\/strong>as Best Lead Actress and <strong>Ariana Grande <\/strong>as Best Supporting Actress for the <em>Oscars<\/em>.&nbsp;
