{"id":93256,"date":"2024-11-24T21:23:44","date_gmt":"2024-11-25T05:23:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/?p=93256"},"modified":"2024-11-24T21:23:44","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T05:23:44","slug":"peeing-in-the-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/blog\/2024\/11\/24\/peeing-in-the-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Peeing in the House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201c<strong>Jimmy<\/strong>, I\u2019m a black woman and a lesbian.<br \/>\nHow the hell do you think I\u2019m doing?&#8221; &#8211; <\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><br \/>\n<\/em><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><strong>Wanda Sykes<\/strong>, to <strong>Jimmy Kimmel <\/strong>when he asked her mood since the election<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>No sooner had <strong>Sarah McBride <\/strong>from Delaware made history as the first openly transgender member of the <em>House of Representatives<\/em>, than <em>Speaker of the House <\/em><strong>Mike Johnson <\/strong>flexed his muscles.&nbsp; Since he has general control of the <em>House <\/em>facilities, he passed this rule: \u201cAll single-sex facilities in the <em>Capitol <\/em>and <em>House Office Buildings <\/em>\u2013 such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms \u2013 are reserved for individuals of that biological sex.\u201d&nbsp; In answering accusations of being anti-McBride, he said, \u201cWe\u2019re not anti-anyone.&nbsp; We\u2019re pro-woman,\u201d adding, \u201cWe have single-sex facilities for a reason.&nbsp; Women deserve women\u2019s only spaces.\u201d&nbsp; How did McBride respond?&nbsp; She said she would comply with the rule \u2013 which then drew even more criticism from the people who wanted her to be the <strong><em>Rosa Parks <\/em><\/strong><em>of the Bidet<\/em>.&nbsp; \u201cI am not here to fight about bathrooms.&nbsp; I\u2019m here to fight for Delawareans&#8230;Like all members, I will follow the rules outlined by Speaker Johnson, even if I disagree with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Let me interject my two cents, for whatever it\u2019s worth (perhaps only two cents).&nbsp; I truly understand people having some issues with trans people \u2013 particularly if they don\u2019t know any.&nbsp; These days, everyone seems to have an issue about something or other.&nbsp; So, why not just eliminate gender?&nbsp; Let\u2019s have All-Gender Bathrooms, one gold medal for the Best Gymnast, and one <strong><em>Oscar <\/em><\/strong>for Best Performer.&nbsp; It would solve a whole lotta problems \u2013 although I believe in some instances, one biological gender might have the edge over the other.&nbsp; But, eh, that\u2019s life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cJimmy, I\u2019m a black woman and a lesbian.
