{"id":93350,"date":"2024-12-22T21:30:59","date_gmt":"2024-12-23T05:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/?p=93350"},"modified":"2024-12-22T21:30:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-23T05:30:59","slug":"carlisle-collins-friends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/blog\/2024\/12\/22\/carlisle-collins-friends\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlisle, Collins &#038; Friends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201c<strong>Jesus <\/strong>Forgives.&nbsp; <strong>Santa <\/strong>holds a grudge.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> &#8211; <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><strong>Sara Haines<\/strong>\u2019 quip on <strong><em>The View<\/em><\/strong> when <strong>Sunny Hostin<br \/>\n<\/strong>argued it was wrong to use Santa to blackmail children to behave.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>With the year swiftly coming to an end, we come to our last column before Christmas.&nbsp; Next week, we review the best of 2024.&nbsp; So I thought this week we\u2019d update some recent stories.&nbsp; Let\u2019s start with one of my favorite people, <strong>Belinda Carlisle<\/strong>.&nbsp; In 2014, she co-founded <em>Animal People Alliance <\/em>(<em>APA<\/em>), taking care of displaced animals in Asia.&nbsp; Since 2021, she\u2019s hosted a holiday party at <strong><em>The Abbey <\/em><\/strong>in West Hollywood as a major fundraiser.&nbsp; Every year, I swear I\u2019ll go \u2013 and every year, I\u2019m already back east with the family.&nbsp; This year was no different, so I missed out on the fabulous festivities that brought in about $186K.&nbsp; It was hosted by <strong>Sandra Bernhard <\/strong>and performers included <strong>Taylor Dayne <\/strong>and <strong>Michelle Visage <\/strong>(in addition to Carlisle herself).&nbsp; Congrats!<\/p>\n<p>By the by, Belinda\u2019s son, <strong>James Duke Mason<\/strong>, recently went to the swanky <em>soir\u00e9e <\/em>of stylist <strong>Ren\u00e9 Horsch<\/strong>.&nbsp; Dukey posted one photo that caught my eye \u2013 with <strong>Dame Joan Collins<\/strong>.&nbsp; What\u2019s interesting about that is before marrying Belinda, Duke\u2019s dad <strong>Morgan Mason <\/strong>dated Dame Joan!&nbsp; One doesn\u2019t think of Carlisle and Collins in the same category, so I\u2019m not sure Morgan has what I\u2019d call a \u201ctype\u201d&#8230;aside from gay icons!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cJesus Forgives.&nbsp; Santa holds a grudge.&#8221; &#8211; Sara Haines\u2019 quip on The View when Sunny Hostin argued it was wrong to use Santa to blackmail children to behave.
