Proving anyone can have a comeback, Nick Gruber <\/strong>was back in the news by turning up ON the (local) news!  Calvin Klein<\/strong>\u2019s ex resurfaced, demanding his former landlords return his property, purloined prior to a period in the pokey.  Alas, they claim to have donated his discarded wares to the Mormon Church<\/em>.  The good news?  He\u2019s single.<\/p>\n

Shake-ups on shows \u2013 particularly reality shows \u2013 are common.  But will we ever find out if Bobby Berk <\/strong>quit or was fired from Queer Eye<\/em><\/strong>?  And will the hiring of the lovely Jeremiah Brent <\/strong>be embraced?  Don\u2019t touch that dial.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Groff <\/strong>made tongues wag with the first same-sex kiss for Doctor Who<\/em><\/strong>.  Groff topped that with a Tony <\/em>win for Merrily We Roll Along<\/em><\/strong>.  Next year, he returns to Broadway <\/em>in a new musical about Bobby Darin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Turning to the little show that could, Cole Escola<\/strong>\u2019s Oh, Mary!<\/em><\/strong> (punctuated like Hello, Dolly!<\/em><\/strong>) went from an off-Broadway <\/em>cult sensation to the hottest ticket on Broadway<\/em>.  I predicted the transfer wouldn\u2019t work \u2013 and I was wrong.  I also predicted that replacing Cole with Betty Gilpin <\/strong>would kill the show.  Well, I\u2019ve been wrong before.<\/p>\n

Shawn Mendes <\/strong>took to the stage at Red Rocks <\/em>to perform a new song, \u201cThe Mountain\u201d, and discuss his oft-rumored-about sexuality.  \u201cThe real truth about my life and sexuality is that, man, I\u2019m just figuring it out like everyone else.  I don\u2019t really know sometimes, and I know other times…I\u2019m trying to be really brave and allow myself to be a human and feel things.  And that\u2019s all I really want to say about that for now.\u201d  To be continued…<\/p>\n

Schadenfreude <\/em>is taking pleasure at someone\u2019s misfortune.  I may not speak German, but I knew I had loads of material when Justin Timberlake <\/strong>was arrested on suspicion of DUI early on a June morning.  Then we saw his mug shot.  Damn, he even looked good in that!  That he got off with a slap on the wrist was no surprise.  Still, I was more than a bit tickled when I learned that the arresting officer had no clue who he was!<\/p>\n

Speaking of hot guys, the Paris Olympics <\/em>provided scads of scantily clad studs.  Naturellement<\/em>, the French stole the show.  Synchro divers Jules Bouyer <\/strong>and Alexis Jandard <\/strong>posted the most provocative photos from the shower with the caption \u201cWelcome to @Paris2024\u201d.  They were bested by France\u2019s premier vaulter Anthony Ammirati<\/strong>, whose ponderous package pushed his pole too close to the crossbar.  He walked away with a $250K offer to do porn.<\/p>\n

Gay porn stud Austin Wolf <\/strong>made headlines when the feds raided his house and arrested him for sending and receiving child porn images and videos.  His preliminary hearing keeps getting delayed.  When setting the fifth date of December 27th<\/sup>, Judge Barbara Moses <\/strong>said the extension \u201cbest serves the ends of justice and outweighs the best interest of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial.\u201d  His judge is a woman?  He\u2019s fucked.  It will come as no surprise that on December 27th, the Government requested yet a further continuance of 30 days.  The defendant agreed.  The judge agreed.  The latest new trial date (the sixth) is January 27, 2025.  <\/p>\n
