When Jenifer Lewis <\/strong>plummeted from her Tanzania balcony into the Serengeti, it was touch and go \u2013 and I\u2019m not just talking about the cape buffalo that threatened to compromise her!  Her life-threatening injuries led to a miraculous comeback, punctuated with an appearance on The Masked Singer<\/em><\/strong> as CleoCatra<\/em><\/strong>.  After singing in Spellbound<\/em><\/strong>, she went to Disney World <\/em>to open Tiana\u2019s Bayou Adventure<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 based on The Princess and the Frog<\/em><\/strong>.  When the VIP premiere of the ride came to a screeching halt, did she panic?  Nope.  She launched into an a capella <\/em>version of her song from the flick, \u201cDig a Little Deeper\u201d, which you can see on BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

I was delighted to hear the news that my pals Sherri Shepherd <\/strong>and Fran Drescher <\/strong>will be getting stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame <\/em>in 2025.  Sometimes good things happen to good people.<\/p>\n

The death of reclusive Richard Simmons <\/strong>shocked me \u2013 especially since Pauly<\/strong> Shore<\/strong> planned to star in a biopic.  Perhaps Simmons\u2019 last words were \u201cover my dead body\u201d!  Gay baseball star Billy Bean<\/strong>, Madonna<\/strong>\u2019s brother Christopher Ciccone<\/strong>, Mitzi Gaynor<\/strong>, Teri Garr<\/strong>, Gavin Creel <\/strong>and Ken Paige <\/strong>were a few others that will be missed.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s a year without Fayewatch<\/em><\/strong>?  Miss Dunaway <\/strong>was back \u2013 the hit of all of Europe and Cannes \u2013 with Faye<\/em><\/strong>, a documentary about…well, her!  Lots of acclaim, a few awards, and then…nothing.  Well, not exactly nothing.  She got a small role in the film Fate<\/em><\/strong> starring Andrew McCarthy <\/strong>and Harvey Keitel<\/strong>.  So, it\u2019s nothing-adjacent!<\/p>\n
