Clearly it\u2019s time for another jaunt in the Filth2Go Wayback Machine<\/em><\/strong>.  Back in 1974, Little House on the Prairie<\/em><\/strong> debuted on NBC<\/em>.  After Netflix <\/em>announced a reboot, Megyn Kelly <\/strong>expressed concern over preserving the sanctity of the show.  \u201cIf you wokeify Little House on the Prairie <\/em>I will make it my singular mission to absolutely ruin your project.\u201d  This ticked off Melissa Gilbert<\/strong>, who responded.  \u201cUmmm… watch the original again.  TV doesn\u2019t get much more \u2018woke\u2019 than we did.  We tackled: racism, addiction, nativism, anti-Semitism, misogyny, rape, spousal abuse and even other \u2018woke\u2019 topic you can think of.  Thank you very much.\u201d  No, thank you, Half Pint<\/em>!<\/p>\n

In 1975, Cher<\/strong> televised a TV special which led to her solo variety show.  The special included a skit that took place at Final Curtain \u2013 Rest Home for Aged Performers.  The aged residents included Cher, Bette Midler <\/strong>and Flip Wilson <\/strong>in the year 2025.  They congregate in the \u201cfun room\u201d to watch the 1975 special.  When Elton John <\/strong>enters on a motorized wheelchair…well, Cher and Bette cannot keep it together.  Check it out on BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Back in 1985, Lily Tomlin <\/strong>scored a major success with her partner Jane Wagner<\/strong>\u2019s one-woman show, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe<\/em><\/strong>.  She even won the Tony Award<\/em>.  In 1991, it was made into an acclaimed play and Lily reprised the role in a national tour in 1999.  Others have tackled the material \u2013 most recently, Cecily Strong <\/strong>did it off-Broadway and in Los Angeles in 2022.  Now, the Aurora<\/em> Theatre<\/em> in Berkeley, CA will mount a revival this summer starring our very own Marga Gomez<\/strong>.  \u201cI couldn\u2019t be more thrilled to see Marga Gomez stepping in to Lily Tomlin\u2019s iconic role,\u201d said Aurora<\/em>\u2019s Artistic Director, Josh Costello<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In 1997, Lisa Kudrow <\/strong>and Mira Sorvino <\/strong>attended their 10-year high school reunion.  Well, not their reunion.  It was Romy and Michele\u2019s High School Reunion<\/em><\/strong>.  Guess what?  In a couple of years, it will be their 40th<\/sup> high school reunion.  So what a perfect time to talk about a sequel.  This time around, Sorvino and Kudrow are involved behind the scenes as executive producers.  Since they want to release the film in 2027, they\u2019re not in a big rush.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
