The current administration may only be three weeks old, but the ramifications are going to be far-reaching.  Didya hear about the eggs?  Yes, they\u2019ve gotten so expensive, my beloved Waffle House <\/em>is adding a 50-cent surcharge per egg!  At this rate, you\u2019ll need to take out a loan just to buy an omelet!  This led to some fighting words from their main competitor.  \u201cA surcharge on eggs?  Well, there\u2019s nothing hospitable about that.  At Cracker Barrel<\/em>, country hospitality is as important to us as a hearty breakfast \u2013 and that means not charging extra for eggs.\u201d  Them\u2019s fightin\u2019 words!  I\u2019ll stick with the waffles.<\/p>\n

As if that wasn\u2019t enough, the administration is now going after our national cultural center \u2013 the Kennedy<\/em> Center<\/em>.  El Presidente <\/em>wrote: \u201cAt my direction, we are going to make the Kennedy<\/em> Center<\/em> in Washington D.C., GREAT AGAIN.  I have decided to immediately terminate multiple individuals from the Board of Trustees, including the Chairman, who do not share our Vision for the Golden Age in Arts and Culture.  We will soon announce a new Board, with an amazing Chairman, DONALD J. TRUMP<\/strong>!  Just last year, the Kennedy<\/em> Center<\/em> featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth \u2013 THIS WILL STOP.  The Kennedy Center <\/em>is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from across our Nation.  For the Kennedy<\/em> Center<\/em>, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!\u201d.  What do you think this administration\u2019s idea of great cultural programming is?  I mean, how many nights in a row can you see The Village People<\/em><\/strong>?<\/p>\n

I\u2019m guessing Oh, Mary!<\/em><\/strong> won\u2019t be playing the Kennedy Center <\/em>anytime soon.  Well, it could if it starred the current Mary, Betty Gilpin<\/strong>.  She took over the role two weeks ago and, as I predicted, it led to a dip at the box office.  How much?  Roughly $300K in one week.  While that sounds like a lot, capacity was only down by a couple of percentage points.  How is that possible?  Miss Gilpin cannot command the ticket prices that Mr. Escola <\/strong>could.  But, this could all be changing.  Tituss Burgess <\/strong>will take over the title role for three weeks starting March 18th<\/sup>.  Turns out, he has a very close connection with Cole Escola <\/strong>and hoped to play the role.  Dreams do come true!<\/p>\n

Devotees of RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em><\/strong> might have been shocked to learn about contestant Sam Star<\/strong>\u2019s close connection with Charles Barkley<\/strong>.  The basketball great went to high school with Sam\u2019s mom and has always been his unofficial godfather.  Star quipped, \u201cI\u2019m sure he\u2019s proud that I\u2019m a drag queen and not a basketball player.\u201d  Barkley even went to one of Sam\u2019s drag shows.  We\u2019re told he was generous with the tipping!  Of course, none of this should come as a complete surprise.  Remember back in 2023 when people protested Bud Light <\/em>working with Dylan Mulvaney<\/strong>?  Barkley had no problem sharing his thoughts.  \u201cI got three cases of Bud Light<\/em>, and hey, I want to say this.  If you\u2019re gay, bless you.  If you\u2019re transgender, bless you.  If you have a problem with that \u2013 fuck you!\u201d<\/p>\n
