Grace<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; So much so that during a recent appearance on <strong><em>Good Morning America<\/em><\/strong>, <strong>Debra Messing <\/strong>was asked about the possibility of yet another reboot.&nbsp; \u201cI feel like the only thing that could possibly work is if in 20, 30 years we do a <strong><em>Golden Girls <\/em><\/strong>where they\u2019re all living in Boca in caftans.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp; Someone online quickly pointed out that Messing is 56, <strong>Mullalley <\/strong>is 66, <strong>McCormack <\/strong>is 61 and <strong>Hayes <\/strong>is a youthful 54.&nbsp; When <em>Golden Girls<\/em> began, <strong>Betty White <\/strong>and <strong>Bea Arthur <\/strong>were 63, while <strong>McClanahan <\/strong>was only 51!&nbsp; \u201cYou\u2019re already <em>Golden Girls<\/em>,\u201d quipped the online poster.&nbsp; It should also be added that, like Bea and Betty, there is no love lost between Messing and Mullally \u2013 which certainly hastened the reboot\u2019s demise.&nbsp; Who is to blame will be debated by theologians for years to come.&nbsp; But we do know when Messing was promoting a 2020 benefit for <em>Project Angel Food <\/em>and someone asked if Megan would appear, Deb posted the following: \u201cEric, Sean and I have done many many many charitable things together.&nbsp; Ask yourself: have you ever seen Megan do anything charitable?\u201d&nbsp; And, yes, we have the receipts \u2013 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.BillyMasters.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the least-inspired moments in <em>Mid-Century Modern<\/em> is the cast lip synching to <strong><em>En Vogue<\/em><\/strong>\u2019s \u201cWhatta Man\u201d.&nbsp; This leads to a story about the funky divas themselves.&nbsp; They\u2019re currently working as a quartet \u2013 with replacement <strong>Rhona Bennett <\/strong>in the lineup instead of founding member <strong>Dawn Robinson<\/strong>.&nbsp; Then came word that Dawn is homeless and living in her car!&nbsp; In <em>People<\/em> magazine, she \u201cclarified\u201d the situation.&nbsp; \u201cI want to make it clear: I am not homeless.&nbsp; I am temporarily choosing car life as part of my journey of healing and self-discovery.\u201d&nbsp; Potato\/Potahto!<\/p>\n<p>Here comes another <em>Mid-Century Modern<\/em> connection.&nbsp; There is an opera called <strong><em>Fellow Travelers<\/em><\/strong>, which is based on <strong>Thomas Mallon<\/strong>\u2019s 2007 novel (which, of course, was turned into a miniseries starring <strong>Matt Bomer<\/strong>).&nbsp;&nbsp; The opera, which debuted in 2018, was slated to be part of the <em>Washington National Opera<\/em>\u2019s 2025-2026 season.&nbsp; Alas, the composer and librettist felt it wouldn\u2019t be a good fit given the political climate.&nbsp; \u201cWe have made the impossibly difficult decision that the <em>Kennedy Center <\/em>is not a place the team feels comfortable having the work presented.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Much has been written about the connection between Mid-Century Modern and Will &amp;
