Nobody knows what will be the outcome of Wendy Williams<\/strong>\u2019 latest bid to break her guardianship.  When her lawyer said in court that she was capable of resuming her career, Judge Lisa Sokoloff <\/strong>reportedly said, \u201cIt\u2019s done.\u201d  I find that a bit uncalled for \u2013 and slightly rude.  I can\u2019t think of a single judge capable of predicting a showbiz career \u2013 from Judge Judy <\/strong>to Judge Ito<\/strong>!  I wouldn\u2019t even accept it from Simon Cowell <\/strong>or Paula Abdul<\/strong>!  And, say what you will, the public is still interested in Williams.  We hear that a bidding war is ensuing with various networks and presenters lining up to get the first sit-down with Wendy.  Stay tuned.<\/p>\n

With And Just Like That…<\/em><\/strong> about to commence its third season, our pal Mario Cantone <\/strong>has expressed his delight at not only returning to the show, but picking up where last season ended \u2013 in bed with hot new love interest, Sebastiano Pigazzi<\/strong>.  \u201cWhen we were going into the second season, Michael Patrick King <\/strong>called me up and said, \u2018Hey, just so you know, you\u2019re gonna be getting a storyline, you\u2019re gonna be getting a boyfriend.\u2019\u201d  How does Mario feel about this added bit of exposure?  \u201cI want more nudity!  I like being sexualized at 65 years old.\u201d  Sounds good to me.  And he looks fantastic, as you\u2019ll see on BillyMasters.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It seems like just yesterday Charles Busch <\/strong>and Julie Halston <\/strong>celebrated twenty years of working together with a big, splashy Broadway <\/em>benefit, featuring a performance of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom<\/em><\/strong>.  But it wasn\u2019t yesterday.  It was March of 2005.  Using my handy-dandy abacus, I\u2019m able to calculate with a good amount of certainty that means we\u2019re circling the fortieth anniversary.  So I wasn\u2019t surprised when Busch posted the following: \u201cI\u2019m delighted to announce (and I can\u2019t quite believe that I\u2019m writing these words) that on Thursday July 24th<\/sup>, we\u2019ll be having a 40th<\/sup> anniversary celebration of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom <\/em>at 54 Below<\/em>.  We\u2019ll be doing two performances at 7 and 9:30 pm, which will include a reading of the play and then a talkback after both performances about the creation of that show, which was as outrageous as the show itself.  The original cast will be back as well as our director\/producer and cast member, Ken Elliott<\/strong>.\u201d  For tickets to this auspicious occasion, head on over to 54Below.org<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.  I hasten to add that both shows sold out in a matter of hours.  Perhaps more will be forthcoming.  Or perhaps we\u2019ll do a special Billy Masters LIVE<\/em><\/strong> closer to the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
