{"id":93789,"date":"2025-04-27T15:36:36","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T22:36:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/?p=93789"},"modified":"2025-04-27T15:36:36","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T22:36:36","slug":"a-sharpe-pay-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/blog\/2025\/04\/27\/a-sharpe-pay-off\/","title":{"rendered":"A Sharpe Pay Off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, I was delighted to return to <strong><em>Billy Masters LIVE!<\/em><\/strong> and bring back our most popular guest \u2013 <strong>Bruce Vilanch<\/strong>.&nbsp; We primarily focused on <strong><em>It Seemed Like a Bad Idea at the Time<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 his book about writing for some less-than-stellar works of stage, screen, and television.&nbsp; We spoke primarily of <strong><em>The Star Wars Holiday Special<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>The Paul Lynde Halloween Special<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>The Brady Bunch Hour<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>Can\u2019t Stop the Music<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 because you know how much I enjoy an <strong>Altovise Davis <\/strong>story.&nbsp; We also touched on <strong>Carol Channing<\/strong>, <strong>Charo<\/strong>, and his aborted effort for <em>Bravo<\/em>.&nbsp; The book is loads of fun \u2013 as is our chat, which you can watch on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.BillyMasters.tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>BillyMasters.tv<\/u><\/strong><\/a> or on our <em>YouTube <\/em>channel.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4xq5ZlzcKGQ?si=mx5o0D5EoIs6lJ3z\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s <strong><em>Ask Billy<\/em><\/strong> question comes from <strong>Harry<\/strong> in Dallas: \u201c<em>What is up with <strong>Shannon Sharpe<\/strong>?&nbsp; He was willing to pay someone $10 million to settle rape allegations?&nbsp; Is this the same person he was fucking in that video?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is SO not my <em>m\u00e9tier<\/em>, but I\u2019m been assured that these are two separate stories (perhaps even more).&nbsp; Regarding the video which we posted weeks ago, Sharpe left an <em>Instagram Live <\/em>running while he had a tryst with an unknown woman in a hotel room.&nbsp; While we see precious little, what we hear sounds consensual \u2013 and somewhat energetic.&nbsp; The legal problems stem from the former pro-football player being accused of assaulting a woman back in 2023.&nbsp; He claims the allegations are false and that it\u2019s all a \u201cshakedown\u201d \u2013 which seemed plausible until we heard he offered the gal $10 million to go away.&nbsp; She refused the offer.&nbsp; Anyone turning down $10 million is looking for something more than money.&nbsp; Needless to say, Sharpe had to step away from his ESPN duties until this resolves.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When Jinkx could star in a reboot of <strong><em>Murder, She Wrote<\/em><\/strong>, it\u2019s definitely time to end yet another column.&nbsp; I know you\u2019re all wondering when I will do the next <strong><em>Billy Masters LIVE!<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; I have a few ideas in the works.&nbsp; I suppose the best way to keep tabs on me is to check out <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/\">www.BillyMasters.com<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 the site that still enjoys a bit of rum!&nbsp; If you have a question, send it along to <strong><a href=\"mailto:Billy@BillyMasters.com\">Billy@BillyMasters.com<\/a><\/strong> and I promise to get back to you before <strong>JD Vance <\/strong>kills again!&nbsp; Until next time, remember, one man\u2019s filth is another man\u2019s bible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, I was delighted to return to Billy Masters LIVE!
