The sometime actress\/model and sister of designer <strong>Willi Smith<\/strong>?&nbsp; Oh, it was a simpler time when Toukie hit the scene.&nbsp; Back then, the NYC tabloids were all a-twitter that De Niro had the \u201cjungle fever\u201d.&nbsp; On <strong><em>Wisteria Lane<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; This new series (with no involvement by creator <strong>Marc Cherry<\/strong>) is being developed by <strong>Kerry Washington<\/strong>.&nbsp; But don\u2019t call it a remake or a spinoff. &nbsp;Kerry says it\u2019s \u201cinspired by\u201d <strong><em>Desperate Housewives<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; \u201cThe idea is that it\u2019s new times, there\u2019s new challenges.&nbsp; It\u2019s like \u2013 what happens on that <em>cul-de-sac <\/em>now?\u201d&nbsp; And it will be the same <em>cul-de-sac<\/em>, since those houses still exist on the <em>Universal <\/em>backlot.&nbsp; Allegedly, the plan is not to use any of the original characters.&nbsp; Where\u2019d they all go?&nbsp; Maybe Covid ran rampant and killed everyone off.&nbsp; I suppose time will tell.&nbsp; But, should anyone be interested, <strong>Eva Longoria <\/strong>has made it clear that she \u201cwould be the first person to sign up\u201d for a <em>Desperate Housewives<\/em> reboot.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of television shows, <em>CBS <\/em>has announced that they are cancelling the <strong>Queen Latifah<\/strong>-helmed <strong><em>Equalizer<\/em><\/strong> after 5 seasons.&nbsp;
