Talk about the ol\u2019 bait-and-switch.&nbsp; The reputable rag just ran this headline \u2013 \u201c<em>ABC<\/em>\u2019s <strong>David Muir <\/strong>Pulls Back the Curtain on His Life Off Camera and How He Feels About His \u2018Daddy\u2019 Status\u201d.&nbsp; Well, you all know what we\u2019re expecting \u2013 the big, inevitable coming-out interview.&nbsp; Even the subheadline teased it: \u201cViewers know Muir as the most-watched anchor in America, but now he\u2019s opening up to <em>People <\/em>about the side fans don\u2019t often see.\u201d&nbsp; Now, I am far from <em>na\u00efve<\/em>.&nbsp; I didn\u2019t take their promise literally.&nbsp; I assumed we weren\u2019t gonna get a photo of him in a jock strap.&nbsp; And I was surely not expecting stories about slings or butt plugs.&nbsp; He\u2019s not <strong>Stephen Sondheim<\/strong>!&nbsp; I didn\u2019t even expect him to express his unrequited love for <strong>Rob Marciano<\/strong>!&nbsp; But I still clicked on the story.&nbsp; And the accompanying photo did include a dog collar \u2013 around the neck of David\u2019s dog!&nbsp; Meanwhile, David\u2019s lips were so clenched, I got lockjaw.<\/p>\n<p>I think our collective disappointment was best summed up in an e-mail from <strong>Art <\/strong>in Seattle: <em>\u201cThis article doesn\u2019t mention anything except he loves his dog and they sat around looking for a beaver (I kid you not).\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/colorbar1.gif\" alt=\"colorbar1\" width=\"500\" height=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p>When we\u2019re waiting for Muir to be anywhere near a beaver, we better get comfortable and end yet another column.&nbsp; I was thinking about the similarity between Patti LuPone and <strong>Kathy Griffin<\/strong>.&nbsp; Both are big-mouthed broads (in the best sense of the term) who say it like it is.&nbsp; They\u2019re awfully popular when things are going well.&nbsp; But when they inevitable step in it, their \u201cfriends\u201d seem to scatter.&nbsp; Well, you won\u2019t find that on <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/\">www.BillyMasters.com<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 the site that is loyal to a fault!&nbsp; And if you find fault with that, send a note to <strong><a href=\"mailto:Billy@BillyMasters.com\">Billy@BillyMasters.com<\/a><\/strong> and I promise to get back to you before my flying companions discover <strong>Izora <\/strong>wasn\u2019t an island on our flight path.&nbsp;
