{"id":93973,"date":"2025-06-29T22:15:50","date_gmt":"2025-06-30T05:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/?p=93973"},"modified":"2025-06-29T22:15:50","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T05:15:50","slug":"record-breaking-bares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billymasters.com\/custom\/blog\/2025\/06\/29\/record-breaking-bares\/","title":{"rendered":"Record Breaking Bares"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cIt can be stressful for a 19-year-old heterosexual boy<br \/>\nto sit in a room and give another man a blowjob.\u201d<br \/>\n&#8211; <\/em><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><strong>J<\/strong><strong>oshua Jackson <\/strong>discusses his first day on the set of <strong><em>Cruel Intentions<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You know <em>Pride Month <\/em>is coming to an end when <strong><em>Broadway Bares<\/em><\/strong> takes place in NYC.&nbsp; This annual shindig is a kinda burlesque show where (mostly) <em>Broadway <\/em>stars get to appear in various forms of undress and strut their stuff.&nbsp; It was started in 1992 by a group of dancers who wanted to raise funds for the fight against AIDS.&nbsp; One of those dancers, the multi-hyphenate <strong>Jerry Mitchell<\/strong>, has worked each year to top himself \u2013 good work if you can get it!&nbsp; This year\u2019s edition raised a record-breaking $2,447,967 for <em>Broadway Cares\/Equity Fights AIDS<\/em>.&nbsp; For the eighth year in a row, the bulk of those funds were raised by our pal <strong>Mark MacKillop <\/strong>\u2013 who brought in an outstanding $277,500.&nbsp; To put that into perspective, the runner-up was <strong>Jennifer Geller<\/strong>, who brought in $52,607.&nbsp; I will remind everyone that despite these impressive numbers, Mr. MacKillop is still not \u201c<em>Broadway<\/em>\u2019s own\u201d, as no producer has been bright enough to cast him on the <em>Great White Way<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s show was subtitled \u201cCome Out, Come Out\u201d and had a <strong><em>Wizard of Oz<\/em><\/strong> theme.&nbsp; Rather than Dorothy, their lead was Dante (played by <strong>Bradley Gibson <\/strong>from <strong><em>The Lion King<\/em><\/strong>).&nbsp; There were a number of special guests, including <strong>Todrick Hall<\/strong>, <strong>Alex Newell<\/strong>, and even <strong>Nicole Scherzinger<\/strong>, who dashed over from the set of <strong><em>Sunset Blvd<\/em><\/strong> to join her dancers for a performance of the <strong><em>Pussycat Dolls<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 \u201cButtons\u201d.&nbsp; Videos can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.BillyMasters.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cIt can be stressful for a 19-year-old heterosexual boy to sit in a room and give another man a blowjob.\u201d &#8211; Joshua Jackson discusses his first day on the set of Cruel Intentions.
