Mike Sorrentino <\/strong>(better known to my fans as The Situation<\/em><\/strong>) wrote a memoir.  That\u2019s not even the news, although it\u2019s news to me.  His memoir is being adapted into a documentary \u2013 perhaps a multi-part documentary.  I suppose it could be worse \u2013 it could become a musical!<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, sexy Austin Butler <\/strong>was asked if he would bring Paul Mescal<\/strong>, Barry Keoghan <\/strong>or Saoirse Ronan <\/strong>to a pub.  Austin said, \u201cBarry would be a great time, but I wouldn\u2019t subject him to that.\u201d  He added he previously partied with Mescal.  \u201cWe once went to a bar and they shut it down and then they played show tunes.  And Paul and I danced and had a great time.\u201d  One might even call it a gay ol\u2019 time.  Not necessarily me, but one.<\/p>\n

A reunion of the cast of Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em><\/strong> is taking place as a charity benefit on Broadway <\/em>on September 22nd<\/sup>.  The evening will benefit F Cancer <\/em>\u2013 the brainchild of James Van Der Beek<\/strong>, who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer.  Joining the Beek will be my bon ami <\/em>John Wesley Shipp <\/strong>alongside Michelle Williams<\/strong>, Joshua Jackson<\/strong>, Katie Holmes<\/strong>, Mary-Margaret Humes<\/strong>, Mary Beth Peil<\/strong>, Kerr Smith<\/strong>, Busy Philipps <\/strong>and more.  The plan is to do a live reading of the pilot to the series.  But would people come?  Uh, yes, they would.  Tickets for the one-night-only event sold out in 12 minutes!<\/p>\n

Elsewhere on Broadway<\/em>, the producers of Maybe Happy Ending<\/em><\/strong> have made the startling announcement that Darren Criss <\/strong>hasn\u2019t actually left the show \u2013 despite the statements and press releases to the contrary.  He\u2019s simply taking an \u201cextended vacation\u201d.  He plans to return on November 5th<\/sup>.  I do hope that all of the crap Andrew Barth Feldman <\/strong>received for not being of Korean descent continues towards Criss, who likewise has not a drop of Korean blood in his DNA.  I hesitate from saying he has no Korean in him \u2013 because, you know, a gig\u2019s a gig!<\/p>\n

If the politically correct folks out there want to find someone to hate, look no further than Dame Helen Mirren<\/strong>.  The esteemed actress was asked how she felt about there one day being a female James Bond<\/em><\/strong>.  \u201cI wish them well.  I\u2019m excited for the next man to come on the stage.  I\u2019m such a feminist, but you can\u2019t have a woman playing James Bond.  It just doesn\u2019t work.  James Bond has to be James Bond, otherwise it becomes something else\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
