Then there were the Creative Arts Emmys<\/em>, where Queer Eye<\/em><\/strong> won its seventh award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program<\/em>.  What makes it more impressive is that the show has only been on for nine seasons.  The one time it lost was last year, when Shark Tank<\/em><\/strong> snagged the award \u2013 and, let\u2019s face it…Antoni <\/strong>is no Barbara Corcoran<\/strong>!  Those of you who got more than 200 in your math SATs are probably thinking, \u201cBut Billy <\/strong>\u2013 it\u2019s been on for nine seasons.  You say it won seven Emmys <\/em>and lost only once.  How is that possible?\u201d  Well, seasons two and three both ran in 2018 (winter and summer) \u2013 so that year\u2019s win was for two seasons.  The more you know…<\/p>\n

As to the primetime Emmys<\/em>, they just wrapped up moments before this was published.  So, in lieu of an Ask Billy<\/em><\/strong> question, let us mention a few highlights.  First, it must have been pretty steamy in that theatre \u2013 every forehead was glistening \u2013 unless there\u2019s some topical Botox I\u2019m unaware of!  It\u2019s always a bad sign when the least recognizable person in the room is the host.  And, sure, I expected Michael Urie <\/strong>to get into The Golden Girls<\/em><\/strong> tribute.  But Colin Farrell<\/strong>?  Who knew?  Polly Holliday <\/strong>was snubbed from the In Memoriam<\/em> segment, even though Linda Lavin <\/strong>was given a place of prominence.  I\u2019m sure by the time you read this, we\u2019ll find out who those kids were walking the winners off stage.  I\u2019m assuming they have something to do with the Boy <\/em>and Girl Scouts <\/em>\u2013 either that or someone was casting a Benetton <\/em>commercial (assuming Benetton still exists).<\/p>\n
