\nat least not that was displayed to me.\u201d
\n\u2013 <\/em>Teri Hatcher <\/strong>on Dean Cain <\/strong>joining ICE<\/em>.  She adds, \u201cI\u2019m not sitting here
\nsaying he\u2019s a bad guy, but, yes, he is doing things that I think are bad.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Could somebody please put Liza Minnelli <\/strong>under house arrest?  Where are those Luft <\/strong>kids when you need \u2018em?  Where\u2019s Lorna<\/strong>?  Where\u2019s Joey<\/strong>?  Don\u2019t get me wrong \u2013 I love Liza as much as any gay man (of a certain age).  But there comes a time when you\u2019ve got to make the hard choices.  The last few years, she\u2019s shown up about as often as Halley\u2019s Comet<\/em>, but these do nothing but tarnish a once-glorious career.  Let\u2019s forget about the Oscars<\/em>.  Do you remember when she was honored on RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em><\/strong>?  They wheeled out a gigantic easy chair with Liza kinda slumped in it \u2013 ringing those bells.  She\u2019s a little bit of a thing \u2013 she looks like Edith Ann Minnelli<\/strong>!  Perhaps because she doesn\u2019t have the musculature to sit up, she just slouched lower and lower into the chair.  At one point, her legs were higher than her head, and I thought she was going to slide onto the floor.  Liza Down!<\/p>\n

I say all of this as a preamble to last week\u2019s Dancers Against Cancer Gala of Stars <\/strong><\/em>here in Beverly Hills.  We all agree that Liza is the hoofer with a heart of gold.  So, naturally, they called upon her to present the Icon Award <\/em>to Janet Jackson <\/strong>\u2013 because when I think of Janet, I obviously think of Liza.  A bunch of dancers were onstage doing Fosse<\/em>-esque choreography.  Suddenly, two of them spin around this giant thing \u2013 that turns out to be…you guessed it, a giant easy chair!  And there she is \u2013 Liza Minnelli (more or less).  And all of the people around her are dancing, and she kinda did some \u201cjazz hands\u201d.  Then she made sort of a speech \u2013 except I\u2019m not entirely sure she knew where she was or who she was honoring.  But she sure looked happy to be there and people were cheering.  And all I was thinking is, \u201cHow are they getting this chair home?  Does Michael Feinstein <\/strong>back up a truck and a couple of Teamsters <\/em>drag the chair onto the back \u2013 with Liza still in it?\u201d  God knows, I truly believe that Liza has earned the right to do whatever she wants.  And you can watch her \u201chonoring\u201d Janet Jackson on BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
