\n\u2013 <\/em> Bill O\u2019Reilly <\/strong>on Real Time with Bill Maher<\/em><\/strong>.  Curious words from someone who allegedly urged a
\nfemale producer to rub a \u201cfalafel thing\u201d on her \u201cpussy\u201d.  We always thought he meant \u201cluffa\u201d \u2013
\nalthough neither seems particularly hygienic.  What he meant for the \u201ckids\u201d was to grow up
\nand stay on the \u201cstraight and narrow\u201d …unlike him, apparently.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, I was seated in the second row of a theatre.  In front of me were four empty seats.  In due time, two older ladies sat down.  Just before the show started, four other people appeared with tickets for all four seats.  Discussions ensued until the first ladies pulled out their tickets.  In what was perhaps the greatest line reading of all time, one of them said with complete innocence, \u201cYou mean this isn\u2019t Row R?\u201d  Yes, because so many theatres begin the Orchestra section with Row R!  They quickly scurried away \u2013 only to later be spotted in Row F.  I have yet to determine if it was an issue of guile, malice, or presbyopia.<\/p>\n

The performer I went to see was the incomparable Sam Harris<\/strong>, accompanied by the equally astounding John McDaniel<\/strong>.  The high esteem and affection I hold for both has been duly noted.  This was my first time seeing Sam since his vocal troubles during Covid, so I had some concerns \u2013 which were quickly alleviated.  He is in fine fettle.  In fact, his voice may be better than ever.  This new show, Beyond the Rainbow<\/em><\/strong>, is marvelously constructed with a healthy balance of witty showbiz anecdotes and new material alongside the expected showstoppers (apparently it is always 11 o\u2019clock at Casa Harris<\/em>).  One cannot ignore the elephant in the room \u2013 or the lack thereof.  Sam has lost a staggering 55 pounds.  He\u2019s as svelte as a schoolgirl, and has seemingly turned back time.  If you get the chance to see him, run, don\u2019t walk!  BTW, some photos and videos can be found on BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
