Lots of readers have been writing in about Queer Eye<\/em><\/strong> Jonathan Van Ness<\/strong>.  He has transformed himself with a 70-pound weight loss.  He reveals it began with some \u201cmedical issues\u201d he had in 2023.  In addition to portion control and Pilates <\/em>(thank you, Star Jones<\/strong>), he adds, \u201cI want to note, GLP-1s have been a huge help.\u201d  He says he \u201cdidn\u2019t feel good\u201d, and adds that his whole life he wanted to see an ab \u2013 and now he can.  \u201cBut I want to get one thing straight.  I was always really, really cute.  And I always felt cute, but I didn\u2019t feel good.  And now I feel good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s sexy Scott Clifton<\/strong>, who appears as Liam on The Bold and the Beautiful<\/em><\/strong>.  The formerly hunky actor who was perfection to this viewer has lately been sporting a much leaner frame \u2013 which has led people to inquire about his health.  Yes, his character had brain surgery for a tumor…that he actually didn\u2019t have (it\u2019s a long story).  But insiders say his weight loss is due to stressful marital issues off-screen rather than health challenges on.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve held onto this week\u2019s Ask Billy<\/em><\/strong> question for a while, because there wasn\u2019t anything timely about it…until now.  Will <\/strong>in Chicago: \u201cI know you watch <\/em>CBS soaps.  Have you checked out <\/em>Beyond the Gates<\/strong>?  The guy who plays Smitty is so hot \u2013 and so familiar.  What do you know about him?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

That would be Mike Manning <\/strong>\u2013 previously on The Real World: DC<\/em><\/strong> way back in 2009.  At the time, he identified as bisexual (he has since married Nicholas Tocco<\/strong>).  Over the years, he\u2019s done a fair amount of acting and producing, and last year joined Beyond the Gates<\/em> as Bradley \u201cSmitty\u201d Smith.  His character is married to Martin \u2013 making him part of a gay interracial couple.  They even have adopted kids!  In a recent episode, his character made the following speech: \u201cWe can\u2019t pretend that sex wasn\u2019t in every song we listened to growing up.  Or on every season of The Real World<\/em>.\u201d  Mike showed the clip online and gave kudos to whoever wrote and greenlit that line.  For those who didn\u2019t know, he explained how that related to his own experience.  He relates that when he moved to LA, his agent told him never to mention The Real World<\/em> if he wanted to be taken seriously as an actor.  \u201cAnd now, here we are, all these years later.  On Beyond the Gates<\/em>, whichever writer decided to incorporate that line into my character\u2019s dialogue, it\u2019s so funny.  Well played.  Art imitating life.  It feels so meta.  I don\u2019t even know who it was or how you found out, but well played.  That\u2019s hilarious.\u201d  Well, Mike, it\u2019s not really much of a secret \u2013 especially since people can watch the clip on BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
