It was an eventful week for Kathy Griffin<\/strong>.  First, The Advocate<\/em> (which apparently still exists as a print publication) named her Advocate of the Year<\/em><\/strong>.  They put her on the cover and naming her the \u201cA\u201d in LGBTQIA \u2013 the letter that almost nobody mentions.  She was also inducted into the Out 100 <\/em><\/strong>(again, an honor from a magazine that I thought was long defunct \u2013 owned by the same company that owns The Advocate<\/em>, by the by).  It should be noted that other awardees included people or organizations long dormant.  I suppose congratulations are in order.<\/p>\n

This all happened while two events were going on concurrently \u2013 Kathy\u2019s latest tour (New Face, New Tour<\/em><\/strong>), and BravoCon<\/em><\/strong>.  This conjunction led to a provocative situation.  During a BravoCon <\/em>Q&A, someone asked Andy Cohen <\/strong>if he foresaw a mending of fences with Kathy.  He said, \u201cWell, never say never about anyone, but Kathy and I emailed the other day.\u201d  This left the rest of the story in Kathy\u2019s court, and she revealed the details at her show at the Grove of Anaheim<\/em>.  She said he e-mailed her first, and it was \u201csort of nice\u201d, but she was sure Cohen \u201cvetted it with lawyers\u201d, probably knowing she\u2019d read it on stage.  While she stopped short of doing that, but did say it was \u201ccivil\u201d.  It wasn\u2019t an actual apology.  She termed it as \u201cSorry, not sorry\u201d.  She claims to have replied very quickly and was \u201ckind of emotional\u201d \u2013 which is never a good sign.  She added that she missed working with Bravo <\/em>and felt it was a fun place.  When asked if she thought they could get past it all, she said, \u201cLet\u2019s go with maybe.\u201d<\/p>\n

In something even more inexplicable, Netflix <\/em>renewed the globally panned All\u2019s Fair<\/em><\/strong> for a second season.  There is a theory that the scathing reviews made it a must-see.  There are also rumors that Kim Kardashian<\/strong>\u2019s role will be severely scaled back for season two \u2013 the excuse being she has to study for the bar.  The truth is, she can\u2019t deliver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
