From a new show to one celebrating its 50th<\/sup> anniversary.  On January 14, 1976, The Bionic Woman<\/em><\/strong> premiered.  Fun fact \u2013 Lindsay Wagner <\/strong>almost didn\u2019t take the initial guest starring role on The Six Million <\/em><\/strong>Dollar<\/em><\/strong> Man<\/em><\/strong>.  However, it was her sister Randi<\/strong>\u2019s favorite series, so she took it.  And the rest is history.<\/p>\n

On the day this column drops, Dolly Parton <\/strong>will turn 80!  A number of her colleagues planned a celebration at the Grand Ole Opry <\/em>over the weekend.  But Dolly cancelled.  \u201cI just wanted to say how much it means to me that you\u2019re all coming together again this year to celebrate my big ol\u2019 birthday with some of my songs.  Some of my favorite memories happened right here onstage at the Grand Ole Opry<\/em>, and I wish I could be there in person, but I\u2019ll be sending you all my love, for sure.  So, you have the best night ever.\u201d  Does anyone have Dolly in their 2026 pool?<\/p>\n

Didya know Joel Kim Booster <\/strong>rang out the old year by getting married?  On December 30th<\/sup>, Booster tied the knot with John Michael Sudsina <\/strong>at the Exploratorium <\/em>science museum in San Francisco.  Reports indicate that there were 167 guests, including Booster\u2019s pals Bowen Yang <\/strong>and Matt Rogers<\/strong>.  Photos can be found on our website.<\/p>\n

Luke Evans <\/strong>will helm a Broadway <\/em>revival of The Rocky Horror Show<\/em><\/strong> starting March 26.  When asked about getting cast as Frank-n-Furter, he said, \u201cI always wanted to do Broadway<\/em>, I just didn\u2019t think I would be in stilettos and fishnets.\u201d  Funny, that\u2019s how I always picture him.  He\u2019s excited for the challenge and said his take would be \u201cdifferent and unique\u201d.  The show\u2019s director will be Sam Pinkleton<\/strong>, who won the Tony <\/em>for directing Oh, Mary!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking of Oh, Mary!<\/em>, someone new is slipping into Mary<\/strong>\u2019s crinoline \u2013 perhaps the oldest Mary of all.  Starting on February 3rd<\/sup>, John Cameron Mitchell <\/strong>will play the First Lady for a 12-week run.  Can the creator of Hedwig<\/em><\/strong> bring a little \u201cje ne sais quoi<\/em>\u201d to the role?  My money\u2019s on him.<\/p>\n

Another off-Broadway <\/em>sensation is headed to the Great White Way<\/em>.  Titanique<\/em><\/strong> made a splash when it opened in 2020.  Now the show is headed to the Main Stem<\/em>, and it\u2019s kept some of its kooky, original cast, including Frankie Grande<\/strong>, who will reprise his role as Victor Garber<\/strong>.  He\u2019ll be joined by Jim Parsons <\/strong>as Rose\u2019s mother and dynamic diva Deborah Cox <\/strong>as the Unsinkable Molly Brown<\/em>.  The show begins previews on March 26th<\/sup> at the St.<\/em> James<\/em> Theatre<\/em> for a strictly 12-week run.<\/p>\n
