\nto be removed via the 25th<\/sup> Amendment.  If he thinks they are idiots,
\nI\u2019m curious what he thinks they are \u201cuseful\u201d for.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chemistry \u2013 either you\u2019ve got it, or you ain\u2019t.  We\u2019ve got it \u2013 my readers and me.  But it seems to be lacking with the outgoing cast of Queer Eye<\/em><\/strong>.  Sure, they turn it on for the cameras.  But how do you maintain that for ten years?  Bobby Berk <\/strong>showed you can\u2019t.  And now it\u2019s Karamo<\/strong>\u2019s turn.  Last week, the cast made the rounds to promote the final season, but Karamo decided to sit this one out.  And he didn\u2019t tell anyone until an hour in advance.  Have we learned nothing from Mo\u2019Nique<\/strong>?  Getting hired is great.  Doing the work is a joy.  But promotion is part of the job.<\/p>\n

First stop was CBS Mornings<\/em><\/strong>.  Gayle King <\/strong>devoted a good chunk of the interview to the elephant not in the room.  She read a statement from Karamo which said, in part, that he hoped he taught people to \u201cfocus on and to protect their mental health\/peace from people or a world who seek to destroy it; which is why I can\u2019t be there today.\u201d  His assistant added that \u201che\u2019s worried about being bullied\u201d.  NBC<\/em>\u2019s Today with Jenna and Sheinelle<\/em><\/strong> was next, and Karamo actually sent a video to them.  He thanked every single person who worked on the show from the janitor to the brass \u2013 pointedly leaving out his co-hosts.  Karamo\u2019s assistant said that \u201che has felt mentally and emotionally abused for years\u201d, and that his therapist advised him to skip the interviews \u201cto protect himself and his peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cast, being good little soldiers, stood by Karamo in absentia<\/em> with smiles through gritted teeth.  Well, I think they were gritted teeth \u2013 I was distracted by Antoni <\/strong>sporting side-areola betwixt his unbuttoned shirt.  He said, \u201cFamilies are complicated, and we’re definitely not excluded from that.\u201d  Jeremiah <\/strong>was sobbing like a little girl, probably because his highlights were growing out.  Tan <\/strong>was very Zen about it.  And Jonathan<\/strong>…well, he said little.  But rumor has it, that\u2019s not how he was on the set.  We hear that Karamo brought his mother to work one day.  She was in the control booth while they were taping.  During a break, Karamo left the room and \u201csomeone\u201d in the cast (possibly in a frock) was trashing him on a hot mike \u2013 for Mom and everyone else to hear!  And of course there was that Rolling Stone<\/em> piece a few years ago stating Van Ness <\/strong>was abusive and has \u201crage issues\u201d.  Bottom line?  Karamo has his own show (for now), Antoni is the other breakout star due to his looks more than any specific talent…and the rest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
