I was winging my way across the Atlantic, so I didn\u2019t see the Grammys<\/em><\/strong>.  Then I heard Cher<\/strong> announce Album of the Year <\/em>going to… Luther Vandross<\/strong>??  The same Luther Vandross who died in 2005?  I think Cher actually said \u201cLuther Gandrosz<\/strong>\u201d, like her dentures were slipping.  But she looked good, and that\u2019s gotta count for something.<\/p>\n

When I landed in Europe, my first stop was one of those countries where, until recently, they didn\u2019t believe in Jesus <\/strong>\u2013 or circumcision.  During my investigations of the latter, I learned that Grindr <\/em><\/strong>is disabling its location feature inside the Olympic Village<\/em>.  People can still hook up, but locations will be vague.  Why?  Because being gay is still a crime in many countries \u2013 over 60, in fact (perhaps even where I am).  Since many of the athletes are not openly gay, Grindr is helping them protect their anonymity.  Grindr is also providing all Olympic <\/em>athletes free access to primary features like unsending messages and screenshot blocking.  They\u2019re all hard…er, heart!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a war of words going on between Don Lemon <\/strong>and Nicki Minaj<\/strong>.  It started when the \u201csinger\u201d posted about Lemon covering that church protest in Minnesota (her post was all in CAPS, but I\u2019ll save your eyes): \u201cDon \u2018Cock Suckin\u2019 Lemon is disgusting.  How dare you?  I want that thug in jail!!!!!  He would never do that to any other religion.  Lock him up!!!!!\u201d  Lemon probably giggled at being called a \u201cthug\u201d.  He said the following: \u201cI have a lot of gay friends who love Nicki Minaj.  Why are you supporting this homophobic, bigoted, ignorant woman?  You should not be supporting her.  She is clearly out of her depth and doesn\u2019t understand politics.  I\u2019m not surprised that she is weighing in on something beyond her capacity.  Nicki Minaj is a \u2018pick me\u2019.  She will do anything that is expedient for her politically.  And, again, she\u2019s ignorant.  She doesn\u2019t know what she\u2019s talking about.  She\u2019s always weighing in on things that she doesn\u2019t know about.  Nicki Minaj should just sit the fuck down.\u201d<\/p>\n
