Noel Coward<\/strong>\u2019s Fallen Angels<\/em><\/strong> is getting a revival on Broadway<\/em>, courtesy of the Roundabout Theatre<\/em>.  It kicks off performances on March 27th<\/sup> with Rose Byrne <\/strong>and Kelli O\u2019Hara <\/strong>playing best friends, both married to boring husbands, reminiscing about the hot Frenchman they both had affairs with when they were single.  Didya know that Joan Collins <\/strong>starred alongside Susannah York <\/strong>in a 1974 television adaptation of the play?  So, once again, I have to turn my column over to Dame Joan Collins to explain: \u201cIt was, I thought, extremely important to the plot that if Susannah and I spent three quarters of the play extolling the virtues of this divine Frenchman, with whom we were both still secretly in love, by the time the audience sees him, he better be a knockout.\u201d  Well, the Roundabout <\/em>has secured the services of such a knockout \u2013 who also happens to be somewhat of a name.  Making his Broadway <\/em>debut, the role will be filled to a T by Mark Consuelos<\/strong>.  Yes, Mr. Ripa will be moonlighting as Maurice.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s official \u2013 Jonathan Bailey <\/strong>and Ariana Grande <\/strong>will star in a revival of Sunday in the Park With George<\/em><\/strong> in London\u2019s Barbican Theatre<\/em>.  It will be directed by Marianne Elliott<\/strong>, who directed and conceived the gender-bending revival of Company<\/em><\/strong>, which also starred Bailey.  However, there has been a change \u2013 the show won\u2019t take place until the summer of 2027.  If you like to plan a year in advance, tickets go on sale in May 2026.<\/p>\n

Liza Minnelli <\/strong>will be doing a smattering of events to promote her upcoming autobiography, Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!<\/em><\/strong>.  On March 17th<\/sup>, she\u2019ll be in conversation at Downtown LA\u2019s Million Dollar Theater<\/em>.  Moderating will be, you guessed it, Michael Feinstein <\/strong>\u2013 and I\u2019m told you\u2019ll never see his lips move!  Tickets start at $90 and include a pre-signed copy of the book.  You don\u2019t expect Liza to sit through a meet-and-greet line, do you?<\/p>\n

Not to be counted out, we have news on Liza\u2019s sister.  We often talk about singers doing \u201cresidencies\u201d which are not really residencies.  Well, Lorna Luft <\/strong>is actually doing one that counts.  On January 28th<\/sup>, she began a six-month series of concerts at the Laurie Beechman Theater <\/em>in NYC.  Admittedly, she\u2019s only doing one concert a month in a venue that seats 80 people, but it still counts.  Upcoming will be February 18th<\/sup>, March 27th<\/sup>, April 25th<\/sup>, May 21st<\/sup> and June 20th<\/sup>.  At this rate, Lorna is the most-employed member of the Luft-Minnelli-Garland<\/strong>–Gumm <\/strong>family!<\/p>\n

Cyndi Lauper <\/strong>seems to be busier than ever since her retirement from touring.  Next up for the singer is a Vegas run at the Colosseum <\/em>at Caesars<\/em><\/strong> Palace<\/em><\/strong>.  She\u2019ll be there April 24th<\/sup>, 25th<\/sup>, 29th<\/sup>, and May 1st<\/sup> and 2nd<\/sup>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
