Even though I\u2019m abroad, I still tuned in for the Super Bowl<\/em><\/strong>.  Well, parts of the Super Bowl<\/em>.  I actually remembered it was Super Bowl Sunday <\/em>when I saw a post on Twitter<\/em>\/X <\/em>for Duolingo <\/em><\/strong>(I\u2019m in the middle of a 3+ year streak).  Something about a guy painted green, wearing tight CK <\/em>hip briefs, and a Duo <\/em>head seemed vaguely familiar.  Then I remembered \u2013 last year, a USC <\/em>student won West Hollywood\u2019s Halloween Carnaval <\/em><\/strong>by dressing up as the Duolingo <\/em>mascot.  The Duo <\/em>dude in question was fitness fanatic Dima<\/strong>, known online as @dima.is.fit (fit people get right to the point).  His \u201ccostume\u201d caught the attention of someone in corporate, and the rest is history.<\/p>\n

Speaking of good costumes, Apple TV+ <\/em>has been shooting their limited series Wild Things<\/em><\/strong>, based on the ambiguously gay \u201cmagicians\u201d, Siegfried and Roy<\/em><\/strong>.  Jude Law <\/strong>plays Siegfried<\/strong>, and Andrew Garfield <\/strong>plays Mantecore<\/strong>\u2019s appetizer.  Andy won\u2019t have to worry \u2013 the folks at Apple <\/em>will only be employing CGI tigers.  Where\u2019s the fun in that?  The boys look great in their costumes, as you\u2019ll see from the photos on our website.<\/p>\n

Sandra Bernhard <\/strong>has been cast in season four of The White Lotus<\/em><\/strong>.  The destination will be Saint-Tropez, and one can only hope Miss Sandi plays some rich bitch in custom couture instead of one of the scullery maids (although that might be fun, too).  Others in the cast include Helena Bonham Carter<\/strong>, Steve Coogan<\/strong>, Caleb Jonte Edwards<\/strong>, Marissa Long<\/strong>, Alexander Ludwig<\/strong>, Chris Messina <\/strong>and AJ Michalka<\/strong>.  Stay tuned.<\/p>\n

Isaac Mizrahi <\/strong>knows a thing or two about clothing.  But he may be losing it.  He recently discussed dressing Gwyneth Paltrow <\/strong>in the \u201890s (the first thing people with dementia do is talk about the past).  \u201cShe would leave after things, and I\u2019d say that girl has the most fabulous ass I\u2019ve ever seen.  She has the best ass in show business, I mean that.\u201d  It\u2019s sad when you see it happening.  Isaac may soon be ready for Jell-O <\/em>and mahjong.<\/p>\n

Luke Evans <\/strong>will have some nifty friends joining him in the Broadway <\/em>revival of The Rocky Horror Show<\/em><\/strong>.  Most inspiring is the casting of Rachel Dratch <\/strong>as the Narrator.  And, while one rarely hears of Juliette Lewis <\/strong>these days, I bet she\u2019ll be a kooky Magenta.  Andrew Durand <\/strong>should make a tasty Brad.<\/p>\n

By the by, I just read about By Design<\/em><\/strong>, a movie starring Juliette Lewis.  Here\u2019s the plot: \u201cA woman swaps bodies with a chair.\u201d  And, I kid you not, people are saying she\u2019s great.  \u201cThe role Juliette Lewis was born to play\u201d \u2013 says Billy Masters<\/strong>.  Put that on the side of a bus!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
