Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet <\/strong>really stepped in it recently when he sat down with Matthew McConaughey <\/strong>for a town hall at the University<\/em> of <\/em>Texas<\/em> sponsored by CNN <\/em>and Variety<\/em>.  Their connection?  McConaughey played Timmy\u2019s dad in Interstellar<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 something I had to be reminded of (which is why I\u2019m reminding you).  In the midst of discussing career choices, Chalamet said, \u201cI don\u2019t want to be working in ballet or opera, or, you know, things where it\u2019s like \u2018hey, keep this thing alive,\u2019 even though it\u2019s like no one cares about this anymore \u2013 all respect to the ballet and opera people out there.  I just lost 14 cents in viewership.\u201d  This caused quite an uproar \u2013 not because of the appalling and nonsensical grammar.  I think the best retort came from the head of the New York City Ballet<\/em><\/strong>: \u201cIt\u2019s not even the idea that he dissed ballet and opera that bothers me; it\u2019s the suggestion that he had the talent and aptitude to pursue these Olympic<\/em><\/strong>-level artistic fields in the first place.\u201d  Thank God he has the skill for ping pong!<\/p>\n

Our pal Fran Drescher <\/strong>plays Timmy\u2019s mom in Marty Supreme<\/em><\/strong>.  She was interviewed on the red carpet for the SAG Awards<\/em><\/strong>, which are now called the Actor Awards<\/em><\/strong>.  E! <\/em>asked Drescher (who looked sensational) if she would officiate Chalamet and Kylie Jenner<\/strong>\u2019s wedding \u2013 not that they\u2019re even engaged.  \u201cI do officiate gay weddings, so I certainly can branch out and officiate this if they wanted me to, but I have a feeling they\u2019re not going to ask.\u201d<\/p>\n

What would a column be without some political news.  No, not the fact that El Presidente <\/em>took Kristi Noem <\/strong>out in back of the White House and put her out of her misery like Old Yeller<\/em><\/strong>.  It\u2019s that Ke$ha <\/strong>is speaking out against the administration for using her song \u201cBlow\u201d in their promotional video for the war in Iran.  \u201cIt\u2019s come to my attention that The White House <\/em>has used one of my songs on TikTok <\/em>to incite violence and threaten war.  Trying to make light of war is disgusting and inhumane.  I absolutely do NOT approve of my music being used to promote violence of any kind.  Love always trumps hate, please love yourself and each other in times like this.  This shows blatant disregard for human life and quite frankly this attack on all of our nervous systems is the opposite of what I stand for.\u201d  Then she went for the jugular: \u201cAlso, don\u2019t let this distract us from the fact that criminal predator Donald Trump appears in the Files over a million times.  Stop using my music, perverts @WhiteHouse.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
