It\u2019s been 40 years since The Normal Heart<\/em><\/strong> debuted at The Public Theater <\/em>(actually, it was 41 years ago).  So the Public <\/em>is staging a one-night-only benefit reading of the play \u2013 a play that has had more one-night-only benefit readings than any play I can think of.  For this performance, they\u2019ve secured the services of Billy Eichner <\/strong>as Ned Weeks, Michael Urie <\/strong>playing Felix Turner, and Ben Stiller <\/strong>as Ben Weeks.  The reading will take place on April 27th<\/sup>.  Tickets are still available at PublicTheater.org<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re at that time of the year when events for Provincetown start to be announced.  Since I like to space this stuff out, let\u2019s start with Town Hall<\/em>.  On August 9th<\/sup>, Joy Behar <\/strong>will make her Ptown debut in a special evening hosted by Judy Gold <\/strong>(which tells me it will primarily be an interview).  Produced by Mark Cortale<\/strong>, this will benefit Sandy Hook Promise<\/em>.  Some of Cortale\u2019s other events at Town Hall <\/em>include Audra McDonald <\/strong>and Seth Rudetsky <\/strong>(May 24th<\/sup>), Megan Hilty <\/strong>(July 5th<\/sup>), and Cheyenne Jackson <\/strong>(August 2nd<\/sup>).  Naturally, the indefatigable Marilyn Maye <\/strong>returns for her 15th<\/sup> consecutive year on August 30th<\/sup>.  Grab your tix at PtownTownHall.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
