This may be the last will and testament of Billy Masters<\/strong>.  I just sat down to share my usual scribbling with the fans when all of a sudden, a loud BOOM was heard in the air over Boston!  The house actually shook!  Was it lightning?  But lightning only happens when it\u2019s raining.  Admittedly, I know better than to get a weather forecast from Stevie Nicks<\/strong>.  Was it an earthquake?  Were the extraterrestrials finally coming to wipe us all out?  Hopefully we\u2019ll have an answer when \u2013 or if \u2013 we finish this column.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d hate to think the last thing I wrote was about the Great American State Fair <\/em><\/strong>that El Presidente <\/em>has been planning.  Apparently some acts didn\u2019t understand the event was \u201cpolitical in nature\u201d \u2013 because when you\u2019re booked for a state fair by the White House, maybe you expect a pie-eating contest!  Within hours, Morris Day and The Time<\/em><\/strong>, Martina McBride<\/strong>, The Commodores<\/em><\/strong>, and Young MC <\/strong>dropped out (P.S. If our president can sing a Young MC song for me, I\u2019ll host the show for free).  Freedom Williams <\/strong>of C+C Music Factory <\/em><\/strong>told his agent, \u201cNo, I ain\u2019t good to do that.  I don\u2019t support Trump<\/strong>.\u201d  Maybe Zelma <\/strong>will still attend.  But Bret Michaels <\/strong>sure ain\u2019t \u2013 and he\u2019s one of El<\/em>\u2019s biggest fans!  Adding insult to injury, Milli Vanilli <\/em><\/strong>dropped out.  You know it\u2019s bad when Milli Vanilli <\/em>was even on the roster (in this case, it was the real vocalists behind the group).  One act still on the bill is Vanilla Ice<\/strong>.  At least a member of the Vanilla family is being represented.  Trump says he might cancel the show portion and simply have a rally called \u201cAmerica is Back\u201d.  Which begs the question \u2013 where exactly did we go?<\/p>\n

Then U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper <\/strong>ruled that the board of the Kennedy<\/em><\/strong> Center<\/em><\/strong> doesn\u2019t have the right to rename the campus.  Only Congress <\/em>can change the name.  Ouch!  \u201cThe Board clearly violated the Kennedy<\/em> Center<\/em>\u2019s organic statute \u2013 and the terms of the trust \u2013 when it formally renamed the Center <\/em>after President Trump and memorialized him on the face of the building.\u201d  Not only that, but the board doesn\u2019t have the authority to close the Center <\/em>for two years of renovations.  Once again, Trump wasn\u2019t happy and mused his options.  \u201cWe are going to be working with Congress <\/em>to transfer this failing Institution back to them so they can make a determination as to what to do with it.\u201d  If they\u2019re looking to add names to the Center<\/em>, Bouvier <\/strong>might work in a pinch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
