Our Ask Billy<\/em><\/strong> question had me quite confused.  Karl <\/strong>in NYC wrote, \u201cDid you hear the news about Angelina Jolie<\/strong>\u2019s brother coming out?  I thought he\u2019s been out for years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

He was certainly out when I met him over two decades ago.  I remember it like it was yesterday \u2013 which is when this headline came out: \u201cJames Haven<\/strong>, Brother to Angelina Jolie, Comes Out As Gay\u201d.  Here was the biggest surprise \u2013 in 2025, he married a woman.  And yet, there\u2019s more.  Apparently he was married to Romi Imbelli <\/strong>after she appeared on The Real L-Word<\/em><\/strong> (for the record, she always presented as bi).  Their marriage lasted 25 days and was annulled \u2013 probably by mutual agreement.  They clearly stayed close because Haven made his proclamation on Imbelli\u2019s Substack<\/em>.  \u201cI\u2019m gay,\u201d to which Romi exclaimed, \u201cAs gay as can be.\u201d  Boy, she said a mouthful!  It\u2019s all rather curious to moi<\/em>, who recalls meeting Haven at the Oscars <\/em><\/strong>in 2000.  As you\u2019ll recall, that was the year Angelina was photographed kissing him on the lips.  I believe I met them after the awards, at the Vanity Fair<\/em> party.  Haven introduced himself as Jamie, and introduced his sister as Angie.  After a few drinks, they canoodled.  I canoodled.  I\u2019m not exactly sure who I canoodled with, but the photos will surely turn up on BillyMasters.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
